Andyo said: "I am not sure you've browsed this blog thoroughly enough, but most, if not all, of us just don't believe in gods. Whatever the bible says is inconsequential as far as knowledge goes. Literary value, that's another thing, which is more debatable."

This forum is suppose to be about antheism AND religion, what did you do, run off all the religious people? I am not surprised. Well you will not run me off, that is not going to happen. Did you ever hear the expression: "Debating with idiots can make a person feel damned arrogant." I surmise that this is your problem, you think you know everything, the truth is you know nothing important, and the degeneration of this planet, which you run, proves you know nothing important.

And I don't give a hoot about the "Literary value" of the Bible, the Bible represents the greatest collection of wisdom in the entire world, and that is real value.

And one fellow said: "Look, buddy, as far as we are concerned your all goyim. We don't care what color your skin is, or what you think about our sacred text and traditions, we just want you to leave us out of ever you're fighting about and stop using our books to try and prove why you should be fighting....and I still don't even know what he's talking about."

So we are all "goyim" (Jewish for cattle) are we, well yes that is exactly what you people think of the rest of the people of the world, your crimes against humanity are so great you will never get out of hell. What do you mean "our sacred text", you don't even believe them, and you are not even Jewish, you are Khazars, the Arabs have more right to the Holy Land than you do. I am not using "your books", I am Christian, they are our books not yours, you are the goyim, and the gentiles.

And of course you don't know what I am talking about, since when do non-believers know anything about the workings of God. What I said was is that the Bible (your so-called sacred books) does not mention the races of men which would be impossible after six thousand years of writings, except for one thing: God said he only created ONE man. This is proof that the Bible is the true word of God. You atheist do not believe God created man, but that man created God, if this is so that man created God, then the races would have been mentioned in the Bible, and you know it. You hypocrites! You say they are your sacred books and don't even believe them!

No no, I am not going away.

  • "Debating with idiots can make a person feel damned arrogant."

Well if you're calling me arrogant, what would that make you?

I surmise that this is your problem, you think you know everything, the truth is you know nothing important, and the degeneration of this planet, which you run, proves you know nothing important.

I never claimed I did. You are the one acting like you know for sure all these things. Do you?

I just doubt you, and I doubt the bible. Doubt you both very much.

  • hey it worked. day-ammm. is' just like blowin' up toads by stickin' firecrackers up their asses. fun. don't try this at home kids.

  • You say they are your sacred books and don't even believe them!

    Not sacred to us chief.

You are welcome to debate or discuss(we enjoy both), but if your intention is to insult. We won't need to chase you.

    Be civil or get lost.

  • I am not trying to insult anybody, but when it comes to choosing between civil and telling the truth, I will choose the truth, if others can't take it, well I am sorry, that's just the way it is.

    • Speak your facts as bluntly as you care to.

But "arrogant" and "hypocrite" are judgements and not fact. If you disagree with things said, respond in the same tone they were presented.

If you want to attack the strawman of "non-believers", this forum is not the place to do it.

  • Do you love me Christian?

    • LOVED the song. the chords couldn't be simpler, which is proper for a drinking song. i'm totally adding it to my repe-twah.

      • ya, better than this drinking song. It's in French, so you will no doubt not get it at all.

To play billiards well is the sign of a misspent youth. - Herbert Spencer

I suppose the same thing could be said about knowing so many different drinking songs.

  • btw, among the other examples of astounding idiocy and willful ignorance we've heard here, did anyone actually believe what he said about "goyim" being "jewish for cattle"? if so please reply here and i'll set you straight. however, i think most of you are fairly adept at googleing. i mean really, i never even HEARD that one before, and i've checked into it a bit. :)

  • I had never heard of this either, but Googling 'goyim cattle' gets quite a few hits.

    here for example

The Talmud holds that only Jews are true human beings and Gentiles are "goyim" (meaning cattle or beast). The following are shocking but exact quotes from the various books of "The Talmud."

    1. Sanhedrin 59a: "Murdering Goyim is like killing a wild animal."

    2. Abodah Zara 26b: "Even the best of the Gentiles should be killed."

    And then there's this.

I have no idea whatsoever what that silly little tune and video has to with cattle=goyim=gentile ???

It's also listed in the Urban Dictionary

    goyim

Means cattle. How the jews and the Zion master sees all non jews in particular whites. Said with contemption. Those goyim will send troops to the middle east and fight a war for us or we'll call them anti semites.

jonathan can be seen somewhere on the west bank rapidly typing an answer to refute this nonsense. :-D

    • oh my goodness, i had no idea. i didn't even google it myself because, you see, i speak hebrew (biblical and modern) and to put it simply: the word "goyim" does NOT mean cattle, period, end of story.

the attitudes of some talmudic and medievel rabbis to "the goyim", and the fact the word is sometimes used in the context of derogatory comments is another matter, but it doesn't make the word itself derogatory and i certainly didn't and wouldn't use it that way. colloquially it just refers to "the rest of youse guys-not us". i shouldn't have to refute this nonsense- with your world class googleing skills i'm sure you're aware by now what the word actually means, where it comes from and how it's usually used.

so disappointed in that urban dictionary entry! i often rely on them. wonder how often they've steered me wrong?

and not to leave you hanging in case you didn't find it in the miasma of misinformation on the 'net: "goy" means "nation", "goyim" is the plural. the jewish people are also called a "goy" in the torah, multiple times in different contexts, and also in the talmudic literature.

as for the unspoken 20 dollar question: of course we think we're better than you! any nation worth it's salt feels the same way about themselves, if they don't they have no business laying claim to the honorific term "goy". :)

    • out of curiousity and boredom i decided to check your links, to see who is spouting this nonsense. where did you find that first one, rofl! the guy is a complete lunatic! he puts his creed at the bottom of the page in case you didn't figure it out by then:

“We must secure the existence of our people, and a future for White children.”

i assume that's not a place you hang out in regularly. really, be careful with them interwebs, girl! people who play in dungheaps...

      • Now wait a minute, hold your horses there cowboy. I don't hang out at any of these places. In fact I only hang out at two blogs .. here and a French blog. I've never hung out at any other blogs. I might read an article now and then on the HuffPo, but I refuse to read to dumb comments. The NYT blog has better quality comments, but way too many and one has to sort through all of the crap.

I just listed what came up at the top of the list on Google.

And yes, I did notice that a lot of the sites discussing this business about cows and stuff tended to be sites where racist weirdos congregate.

    • I have no idea whatsoever what that silly little tune and video has to with cattle=goyim=gentile ???

i too was extremely curious about this (remember, i have no life) so i called upon a manga expert/afficionado, a blogger out of san francisco i hold in high regard, and this was his reply to my query:

"Wow. I am flabbergasted. Totally, I have NO idea what that anime clip has to do with Goyim.

The characters are mostly from Lucky Star ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LuckyStar(manga) ), with a few later ones from 'The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haruhi_Suzumiya ). Plus some others I cannot identify.

Neither Lucky Star nor Haruhi Suzumiya mention Judaism.

As for that interpretation that Goy means cattle or bovine, that seems to have first cropped up centuries ago ("gee, thanks, Catholic Church"), based on a false similarity with many words in European languages that mean cow. The naturally suspicious minds that gravitated towards conspiracy theories and paranoia jumped to the idiotic conclusion that yes of course that's what the word had to mean. Vicious minds simply spread that false fact for the damage it did, without being crazy enough to believe a word of it.

      Both behaviours still occur today.

As an example of the sound similarity, in Hindi (distant relative of most European tongues via proto-Indo-European, their common linguistic ancestor) the conversational term for white people is usually 'gaura' - meaning a pale individual, from a term for cow (gav, gau), hence 'cow-hued', or pale. The term used to be very positive (a girl who was pale and creamy of complexion was considered a beauty - 'gauri'), but came to have negative connotations after having been used to describe Europeans for so long.
Nowadays a good explanation of the term gaura as applied to Caucasians is that it means something along the lines of 'ugly smelly cow-like person who has no caste but may have a surfeit of money and arrogance'.

Of course, selective quoting from the Talmud also adds fuel to the fire - for every assertion that Rabban Doe makes anywhere in the Talmud, one can find several statements by Rabbi Roe and several others that say something else entirely. The same goes for the writings of many other creeds, faiths, and philosophies. But the Talmud is not, as many assume it to be, a rigid law code - it is an intensive intro in a methodology of discourse. Contradictions are an intrinsic part of the text. And for subsequent commentaries, superior commentators and older sources outweigh unimportant scholars and most modern authorities. Not all interpretations are equal.

This you and I know. It's more or less a fixed element in our mental scenery.

But the paranoid mind prefers to take everything at literal and face value, and then extrapolate convoluted hidden meanings. It is useless to talk to such people.

It might interest you to know that in Cantonese one refers to non-Chinese as kwailo (ghost-devil fellow), fan-kwai (foreign ghost-devil), lofan (fellow who is 'fan', ie barbarian), naamfan (Southern barbarian), and similar terms. The correct 'non-offensive' term would be 'baak-chong yan', and I can assure you that no one would understand it. Lofan is most often used by the more educated classes simply to mean 'non-Chinese person', with no offense intended.

Still, I am amazed that that youtube clip showed up under that search criterium.
No doubt to someone it proves their belief that Jews control the universe. Wow. Double wow. Holy handgrenades, Batman, triple wow."

here's a link to his blog. it's extremely eclectic, usually hilarious and unapologetically zionist, though israel and jews are only 2 of his many interests and areas of expertise. when i first came across him i couldn't believe he was a goy. :) but he is, i assure you.

      http://atthebackofthehill.blogspot.com/

  • And on this catholic forum you will find an argument going on about the matter..

  • Libbre David 37: "If a Jew be called upon to explain any part of the rabbinic books, he ought to give only a false explanation. Who ever will violate this order shall be put to death."

After reading this, how can I tell if Becker is just sworn to lie to us about the definition of goyim?

I love religious secrecy pacts. Believing you are so right about the universe that you need to keep in secret is the exact sort of thing that leads to the Mormon genital washing ceremony creepiness.

    • So this supposed law mandates bearing false witness or face death. Hmmmm....probably bullshit.

    • red7, i'm surprised you're researching this stuff, though i commend curiousity in general. you might find this helpful- a simple list of the most prominent of these anti-semitic accusations and their simple refutations.

      http://freemasonry.bcy.ca/anti-masonry/van_hyning.html

i'm sure you trust the freemasons, right? :) this was sent to me by my eclectic blogger friend quoted above, who, in a typical flurry of ocd research spurred by this thread found it in his hyper-focused wanderings.

turns out my guess about "libbre david" was correct- it doesn't even exist. the "quote" and the existence of the book itself are complete fabrications by one of many raving anti-jewish polemecists. this kind of thing was really big in the 18th/19th century, apparently.

sorry about all the off-topic stuff.

      • I just looked at the links in the conversation above. No real research.

        http://www.vnnforum.com/showthread.php?t=58486

        • not sure which links you mean. the one you post here is the white supremacist guy joann posted earlier. the link i posted to the freemason sight doesn't show research, but rather the results of research. (i checked some of it myself- i have my own copy of the talmud, you know, made of dead trees. takes up a whole bookshelf.) you might find these useful:

          http://www.come-and-hear.com/tcontents.html

          http://www.skepticwiki.org/index.php/The_Talmud

          • i see upon further examination that the skeptiwiki link is more than a little garbled, and uses jewish terminology that you might find impenetrable. but there are a bunch of links there at the bottom that could help you. i don't necessarily vouch for them.

as for me, i'm convinced that a. the talmud isn't a book of law anyway, but a collection of discussions and training in logic, and

            b. the invention, falsification and misrepresentation of quotes and invented quotes from it, to provide excuses to yes, "kill the jews", was a virtual industry for a long time, and these forgeries, like "the protocals of the elders of zion" are still around today and believed by many paranoid and hateful minds.

      • Well I don't trust the Freemasons, they where taken over by the pseudo-Jews a long time ago, them and their "Rainbow" girls.

  • Of course, selective quoting from the Talmud also adds fuel to the fire - for every assertion that Rabban Doe makes anywhere in the Talmud, one can find several statements by Rabbi Roe and several others that say something else entirely. copied from above. never heard of "libbre david", btw. there are no "secret" commandments in judaism, and as syngas points out below, not lying is generally considered part of the 10 commandments. lying to save one's life is, of course permitted in most cases and was unfortunately necessary sometimes in the middle ages, when christian scholars would debate jewish scholars and entrap them into quoting anti-christian statements from the talmud (of which there are some) and put them to death.

    mormons do secret genital washing?

  • I believe its church elders do a cleansing ritual that involves a big soapy spunge to the groin.

LOL! Seriously, where did you pick up that little gem of information?

    • I worked in Utah a few times and one of coworkers father had been excommunicated for mentioning his testicular annointment on the air.

  • Well I don't trust the Freemasons, they where taken over by the pseudo-Jews a long time ago, them and their "Rainbow" girls.

Oh stop. You're being a goofball on purpose, right?

  • Yes, you are right in a way, I am being a goofball, but there is a method in the madness. I test these forum websites to see if they really believe in free speech, this one apparently does not.

But what I said about the free masons was true.

Let me tell you something, I lived in a Jewish colony for over 30 years! I was not a part of that colony, but I lived in it. I found out a lot of things, secret things, and no, I was not a spy, I was just observant. And please don't ask me where this was located, I do not want to be black mailed anymore!

    • You are truely a christlike figure, what with all your pointless tests, long winded speeches, and Jews eventually getting tired of your troublemaking.

Do you know any card tricks or anything?

  • i hear the faint strains of the "twilight zone" theme song in the distance...building, slowly...until the danger of the unreal becomes maddeningly palpable...i grab my rainbow girl by the arm.

"hurry!" i shout over the hurricane of sound, "we've got to get out of here! back to our observant colony! we must alert the freemasons! rebel has escaped from his ancient spell of binding! he comes to destroy us with the TRUTH!"

  • "i can't go with you!" she panted. "can't you see? it's a DOUBLE RAINBOW- ALL ACROSS THE SKY! WHAT DOES IT MEAN? WHAT DOES IT MEAN?"

i left her there, cursing the unreliablility of rainbow girls. it wasn't the first time it had happened. oh, well, there are plenty more where she came from.

  • The rainbow girl knew that she would be better off with the powerful Illumiti hunk who, afterall, had real credentials, being as he was a member of the Skull and Bones Society. She had taken off on an international flight to join her new love in London.

She now has a secret identity and is known as the cinammon girl
