So unless you are an idiot or a NEocon... you know that most AM radio talk shows are neocon talking point bastards..... (minus AirAmerica)..... and if you have the tolerance to even listen to these pieces of crap who ironically call the media "liberal" (Can anyone tell me minus Air America, a liberal radio show host on the AM channels? Seriously. just one!)....
well in San Diego, one of these pundits disguised as a "talk show" named Rick Roberts has supported this administration and every other republican for years... and wanna know what he is telling his callers this morning as I passed through the station?
"Why aren't the Palin Speech Writers writing better speeches for her.. I don't like what they are having her say... We need to make sure That Socialism and Communism don't take over American by Letting Obama Win... much like the Hitler regime".... THATS right he is calling Obama a socialist and comparing him to Hitler...... How amazing ... who is closer to Hitler the past 8 years of running this country Bush or Obama?
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

The comparison is outrageous yet common in rabid political talk. The book "Liberal Fascism" is another fine bit of ignorant projection by right-wing fascists and "Free-Market Socialists."
I also love how the blame for Sarah Palin's idiocy falls on everyone but her. Tis guy blames her speech writers, many blame the evil liberal media and their "gotcha" questions like "Which is your head and which is your ass?" The one's who blame the McCain campaign for not letting Sarah free. It's everyone's fault but poor helpless "Pitbull" Sarah-Barracuda.
It's beyond my ability to understand the psychological gymnastics required to hold such irrational and contradictory viewpoints but it is fascinating to behold.
Great point GIt;.... fascinating to behold... but is it not more fascinating how people believe this crap?
I heard the other day someone say they are not voting for Obama (mind you she is a democrat!) because she says The first thing he will do is attack pakistan... WHEN did Obama say that???? HE DIDN'T but guess what the pundits say to their Radio listeners......
Given McCain's championing of war with no end and no boundries (except Pakistan) and his chairmanship of the IRI, her fears of who will start more wars seems pretty unfounded. Of course, my mother believes that once Obama is elected he'll pull a "Putney Swope" and install the Black Panthers into his cabinet and the nation will be run by black militants. FOrtunately, my black girlfriend was able to quell those fears a bit. :)
Here's a link to McCain's membership in the IRI: http://www.fpif.org/fpiftxt/5330
I don't expect you to stand ready to type everything Roberts says, but it concerns me when someone uses quote marks around a statement containing '...'
What did he say Obama was doing or that is much like the Hitler regime? I would think that is a pretty important component. Yet you edit that part out. Why?
I was paraphrasing..... and that is exactly my point... HE DID NOT SAY ANYTHING SPECIFIC... it was his last words before going to break (you know how they like you to STICK around for the commercial break).... he literally said ... "We need to do everything possible from letting this Obama Socialist Communist Regime get in the White house much like the Hilter Regimes rise to power..."
Do AM radio people ever say anything specific? Listening to them usually is nothing but an unending assault on coherent thought with barrages of fractured sentences, guttural moans, loud exclamations and run-on rants of time-filling nonsense interrupted every few minutes by another barrage of swooshing, booming, zipping and smashing sounds framed around desperate pleas to buy some trivial crap.
This must be why Sarah Palin makes sense to these people. Their brains have been desensitized. All they need to hear are words that trigger the right emotional reflex and their happy. The substance around it is just filler.
Do you ever watch Countdown with Keith Olbermann?
I don't know what your intent of the question was.. but I can tell you I do... and I am a big fan of Olbermann.... He actually says FACTS and yes he obviously leans left... but who wouldn't in their right mind in this day and age.. if Fox News can be an obvious paid talking point for neo cons. why can't the left have one person to do the same?
I still can't believe Olbermann got canned from doing politics b/c he said the TRUTH which was that MSNBC should not have covered that sick attempt by the Republican Convention to use 9/11 as a continuing platform for getting elected.
I understand.
