Commenting Policy

  • To avoid waiting for your comments to be approved register using one of the authentication services like TypeKey.

  • You can use the following html in comments (a href,b,i,br/,p,strong,em,ul,ol,li,blockquote,pre) or you can use Markdown

  • Criticize ideas. Do not criticize people. This means do not substitute criticism of the person for criticism of the idea.

  • Do not make off-topic comments. This includes links to your own or other's websites unless directly related to the current post.

  • If you would like to correct my grammar, punctuation, or usage send me an email. Please don't leave your corrections in the comments. It interrupts the flow of the conversation.

  • Limit comments to no more than 250 words and two links

  • Don't post entire articles in the comments. Make your point and provide a link.

  • There is no ban on four letter words, however some sexist and racial slurs are not acceptable (eg. cunt when referring to a woman, and nigger when speaking of blacks) such terms will result in your comment being deleted.

  • All e-mail received by onegoodmove is considered intended for publication unless otherwise indicated in the initial message from the writer.

  • Anonymous posters should pick a name if they are going to leave multiple comments so readers know the poster's comments are coming from a single individual.

  • All links in the comments are given a no follow tag. If the reason you are posting the link is to promote your site ranking in the search engines it won't help.

  • Repeated abuse of the rules will result in your commenting privileges being revoked, or your comments being deleted.
