Michael Shermer on Prayer Research an excellent article on the flaws in studies purporting to show that a little prayer will lead to a successful in vitro fertlization or assure your recovery from hip surgery just to mention two. The ultimate fallacy is theological: if God is omniscient and omnipotent, he should not need to be reminded or inveigled into healing someone. Scientific prayer makes God a celestial lab rat, leading to bad science and worse religion. Amen...
