I swear, physicist and atheist Victor Stenger gets more “militant” with each new post in his HuffPo column, and I love it. The man speaks the unvarnished truth.

Procedure completed as requested: opened page; refreshed page;moved to comments section; signed in;here I am! Good stuff, Norm, and thanks for the frog. Everyone knows you should never tease a frog, 'cos them frenchies have no sense of humour.

Salaud !

voila ! ☺

This is a test of the commenting system. In the event of real comment, I'd have had something much more clever to say.

Yay! It worked!

Clever indeed.

yup. comments are all better. thanks

On science and religion.:

"MOTHER NATURE, NEVER... FATHER GOD ALWAYS."

yup. that's the story of religion all right. Mother Nature causes all the tornadoes, floods and drought. Father God tells her who to punish with such wrath for their 'sins'.

Re: frogs.

I'll doubt I'll ever forget the cartoon in Mad Magazine years ago. There's a bistro, with a sign out front: "Frog Legs Specials". Out the side door of the bistro, trail a line of frogs on crutches. eww. I've not eaten frogs legs since.

re: Einstein "8. Clash course - Once you can accept the universe as matter expanding into nothing that is something, wearing stripes with plaid comes easy."

excellent. nothin' like a whole lot of nothingness to put plaids and stripes in their proper place.

"5. Intellectual frontier: As our circle of knowledge expands, so does the circumference of darkness surrounding it."

yea, well, it appears to me that our circle of knowledge is rather like a slice of Swiss cheese, with all these little holes of ignorance and superstition abutting every fact.

Oh wait. strips and plaids together are one thing. but with polka dots too? hmm.

I can reply here on the blog, but when i attempt to respond on the forum, my 4 5 6 test is lost in the ether of the rogue Higgs Boson particle.

After searching through the ether and updating the warp drive your future comments on the forum should appear when you make them.

ha! thanks

I saw your 4 5 6 and added 5 7 8 but received a "your reply has been received and held for approval by the forum administrator." message.
