A researcher explains why there may never be a good study on whether excess dietary salt causes hypertension and heart disease



The salt discussion is really interesting. I wonder if they will ever crack that research nut.

You would think accross cultures they would be able to spot some good evidence somewhere. You would think some people, like soda drinkers would consume such insane amounts of sodium that it would be hard to miss the effect, but then again maybe your body hits a saturation point at which the kidneys take all the hit and hypertension is no longer effected.
