  • How to Squander the Presidency in One Year
There's only one political party in the entire world that is so inept, cowardly and bungling that it could manage to simultaneously lick the boots of Wall Street bankers and then get blamed by the voters for being flaming revolutionary socialists.

It's the same party that has allowed the opposition to go on a thirty year scorched earth campaign, stealing everything in sight from middle and working class voters, and yet successfully claim to be protecting ‘real Americans' from out-of-touch elites.

It's the same party that could run a decorated combat hero against a war evader in 1972, only to be successfully labeled as national security wimps.

Just to be sure, it then did the exact same thing again in 2004.

It's the same party that stood by silently while two presidential elections in a row were stolen away from them.

    How ‘bout dem Dems, eh?

One year ago today, there was real question as to what could possibly be the future of the Republican Party in America. That's changed a bit now.

  • Martin Amis in new row over 'euthanasia booths'
"I increasingly feel that religion is so deep in our constitution and in our minds and that is something we should just peel off," he said. "Of course euthanasia is open to abuse, in that the typical grey death will be that of an old relative whose family gets rid of for one reason or another, and they'll say 'he asked me to do it', or 'he wanted to die', Amis said. "That's what we will have to look out for. Nonetheless, it is something we have to make some progress on."
  • I was checking my Amazon Associates account and was pleased to see some of you are still supporting onegoodmove by using the link on the sidebar for your Amazon purchases. One person purchased several books by a favorite author of mine which brought back fond memories. I loved reading Arthur Upfields delightful stories. Thanks for your support, and to the reader who is now enjoying Upfield's stories you have many hours of pleasure in front of you.

Now you made me feel guilty. I've been procrastinating in buying books for months now, and the last one I bought I think I forgot to buy it through OGM. It also counts for CDs though, right? What about other stuff like pro photo equipment and computer parts?

BTW, I don't mind if it's you, but just in case, what kind of information can you see from the buyer? Obviously you can see what he/she bought, but what about the Amazon user's email and/or name?

Yes, anything you buy counts, and no I don't see anything but the items purchased.

I hadn't even thought about using the OGM link, as I buy from amazon.co.uk. If I get there via OGM and amazon.com would that still benefit you?

No, it wouldn't help. I'm not sure how many British readers I have, perhaps it would be worthwhile to open an associates account with amazon.co.uk. Well, that was easy enough.

How does this work again? I'm thinking of loading up on a case (well, maybe 2 or 3) of "The Demon Haunted World" by Carl Sagan and Ann Druyan. Would be nice to buy it from your link.

Just click on the amazon.com link there near the top of the sidebar on the right hand side and then anything you purchase I'll get credit for.

I too feel bad about just forgetting to do this. Anyway, today I bought 2 bicycle locks after clicking on your ad - let me know if they show up.

Thanks

Your welcome, (Big) Brother.

Norm, you should make that Amazon link bigger if you can.
