Anyone in the UK also having issues viewing some of the links?

This one is telling me, I can't view it in my country.

UK residents can watch the entire Daily Show on Channel 4's On Demand site... or you know... on TV every night...

We're trying to coordinate against these nutjobs. Hopefully will have a more full-fledged site open this weekend.

It is Saturday Night Live alumnus, not alumni.

Yes, the majority of videos on this site have not allowed UK viewers for a couple months now. It seems to be something the people providing them have done rather than onegoodmove.

It seems to be something the people providing them have done rather than onegoodmove.

No, the problem is that onegoodmove used to have all the videos downloadable as QuickTime. Then Norm got lazy and started using these stupid embedded video thingies.

My thinking is: if we all bitch at him enough, Norm will go back to using the old way that let everyone see the videos.

No, the problem is that Viacom threatened to sue Norm if he continued to put up his own versions.

I won't deny that I'm lazy but you're wrong about the reason.

Poverty is a less interesting topic. Wise choice.

Now we just need to figure out why Viacom hates the overseas people.

Hey Norm, in regards to something similar, I bought a new HP computer with a 64bit Windows Vista. Problem is they don't make a Quicktime that's 64 bit but only 32 bit. I've downloaded it, and I can hear sound from your embedded vids but no image appears. Got any tips on what I can do? :(

If you ask me, I hate quicktime. You can't skip on the videos if they're not fully downloaded to that part, etc etc. Anyway, have you tried starting your Firefox or IE in XP compatibility mode? That fixes the control bar.

I have the same problem with getting only sound, but what I do is open the source and find the .mov file's address and open it directly. That solves the problem, and also you can watch it on a larger picture that way.

I think there is a setting in your browser you can change to 32 bit that will allow it to work. I'll check with my PC son. :)

I remember viacom guy. Seemed like a spammer, it's weird that those idiots would resort to threaten in the comments. I'm guessing you also got a formal letter?

Hrm. Anybody laughing less and less and crying more and more?

TDS proving, once again, that the rest of the TV media are asleep at the wheel. Doesn't anyone else on television see these glaring hypocrisies?

P.S. I can watch TDS video here in Spain but not the clips from CBS or MSNBC (usually no great loss).

Hey Leftbanker, you in Spain? I didn't know.

Also Spain here, but further south, Islas Canarias. Salu2!

I am curently watching the Daily Show on Channel 4's website. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-daily-show-with-jon-stewart/4od#2972869

The programme has been available in the UK for years, but THEY stop ud seing parts of it on the web, when we can see ALL of it on the web. Nutjobs!

Sorry for typos - I am, literally, watching and listening to Jon interviewing Barbara Ehrenreich at this moment while typing this.

Good one Jon and TDS - rebuttal plus the bonus round on ACORN.

Thank you pedantsareus.

I believe, and hope, that UK law would render such things unlawful. Although i am not familar with civil law, i know that crimnal law states that any private contract that counter the law of the land it is invalid.

I may have been drinking so i am not sure i make sense... i hope i do.
