One of the best interviews I've ever seen Jon do.

Do you people understand the Obama administration intends to DOUBLE our national debt in the next decade?

I understand that George W. Bush just did the same thing. All the more reason I am shocked this has so much support from the democrat base.

For those who demand real solutions, Jon's final bit is the best answer we have- start cutting spending.

Consider this: even by Orszag's optimistic estimates, 10 years from now, we will STILL be running a $0.5 trillion annual deficit, and be sitting on a debt in excess of $20 trillion.

On this issue I've gone from fear, to panic, to Paulian, to anger, back to to fear, then onward to grief then compromise, approached acceptance, and I now find myself simply curious.

The ONLY way these numbers work- the ONLY way this shell game can possibly continue- is if we inflate our way out of debt (again). Perhaps the obvious answer has been the correct one all along. And maybe the Chinese really have no option but to keep playing along, lest they lost their best customers.

Short version: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! (deep breath) HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (deep breath) HHHHHHHHHHH!!

P.S. !!!!!
