In the interest of fostering rational arguments, I'm going to present a common fallacy with each day's links. Today's fallacy is: False Analogy

Re: Apparitions

The apparitions test is obviously incomplete – where's the drug test? (...and should you be under the influence or not?)

It's strange to find out what your reactions are. For the Moyers, I read the first letter and was kind of shocked at Moyers (and I'm a huge fan so my tendency is to think very well of him) because the letter was so detailed in its accusations. Then, reading Moyers response, you realize, "sandbagged once again."

The road descriptions was nicely amusing and thanks for ANOTHER list of books (I love them too so I'm kidding.) In fact, if you get a chance, could you please do a short post when they update with books from the readers. (The deadline was February 4 - I'm not sure when they'll post it) I'm assuming I'll forget and I'd love to see the additions.

personally i thought moyers and foxman were both stretching the truth and guilty of uncharitable interpretations of the other's viewpoints. foxman is a pit bull and moyers is a cop- they don't get along so good.

and norm, thanks a bunch for the vaccine article. i actually found some useful stuff in it for my own personal battle having to do with this. plus, it was funny. :)

Maybe - as I said - I didn't see what Foxman was referencing...

I thought this was an interesting article about the problem with presenting both sides of the Middle East conflict

And, BTW, be careful of the pit bull references :) I'm constantly fighting against a completely different world of misconceptions....

It's not the pit bulls we need to be worried about, it's the mighty Maltese

You made my day :)
