Hillary Clinton
What strikes me as inarguable is that Hillary is today a more resonant, consequential, and potent figure than she has ever been before. No longer merely a political persona, she has been elevated to a rarefied plane in our cultural consciousness. With her back against the wall, she both found her groove and let loose her raging id, turning herself into a character at once awful and wonderful, confounding and inspiring—thus enlarging herself to the point where she became iconic. She is bigger now than any woman in the country. Certainly, she is bigger than her husband. And although in the end she may wind up being dwarfed by Obama, for the moment she is something he is not: fully, poignantly human.

perhaps now she and her colleagues will look up the words "impeach" and "responsibility"
let the violins begin...
Bahaha, that's id. Would certainly be something if you could sic your driver's licence on somebody; I'd be interested in that.
Beautifully said, Norm. I wish she would have made it, though. Tommi
and people accuse obama supporters of idol worship.
Why the dig at Obama? I don't see the point. He's is the nominee. He's the person we need to work to get elected. I like Hillary a lot. I voted for her in the primary. But I like Obama a lot. After hearing some of his speeches, I gained a respect for him. I think it is possible to say nice things about Hillary without putting Obama down -- and vice versa.
Hey, sorta like Ron Paul! He lost the campaign, but his accomplishments were remarkable, and his followers have begun taking actions for liberty from his message of freedom.
(okay, I'll give it that HC and RP aren't exactly alike. The former had a chance to win, as opposed to the latter)

Another key difference: Ron Paul voted against the Patriot Act and Iraq War- two policies any self-respecting "liberal" supports 100%.
Beautifully said, Norm.
Norm didn't say it. He cited someone else's writing.
