Sorry, but your largely contentless anti-Obama campaign is getting really old reallyfast.

We're going to need to take up a collection to pay for Norm's therapy pretty soon. Once Hillary gives up her flailing campaign his damaged psyche could come to find comfort in the hollow fear mongering mantras of McCain. Friends don't let friends vote Republican.

There's therapy for cynicism? I don't think so. :)

I saw this clip the day before yesterday and made a mental note to just see how fast it would end up on 1gm, with the expected snarky caption . . . ah, there it is! What a golden opportunity to revisit the notion that, yeah, we're just Kool-Aid sipping parrots, that's all. Yes, one wonders where all this will find it's outlet once Barack gets the nomination . . .

I actually thought it was kinda funny.

I think the only person in need of therapy is the one who taught this to his parrot. I mean, in a small way it's funny - but in a major way it's creepy...

That bird could work for MSNBC!

or CNN

You mean those "birds" such as Pat Buchanan, Joe Scarborough, and Tucker Carlson?
Posted by: JoAnn
|
May 22, 2008 2:34 PM
Oh, people such as Glenn Beck?
Posted by: JoAnn
|
May 22, 2008 2:35 PM
Or how about that "bird" on CNN, Lou Dobbs?
Posted by: JoAnn

May 22, 2008 2:36 PM
Didn't MSNBC fire Carlson?

He doesn't have his own show, but he's still there offering up his opinion again and again, night after night.
It's only Countdown with Olbermann which is unabashedly liberal.
But, but you didn't comment on Glenn Beck and Lou Dobbs. Why not?

And, Syngas, no mention of Scarborough, that big time liberal on MSNBC? ;)

At least the parrot's diction and delivery is superior to Matthews.
Obama supporters can't laugh at this? Not a good sign.

A parrot brainlessly parrots (duh) an empty slogan like an idiotic tape on a loop —à la Monty Python—and some miss the cruel and brilliant irony of the spectacle. Jesus (i was going to say Super Jesus), you guys are a gift: we have now the best anti-Obama political ad that could ever be produced. If I were an Obama opponent, i would just run the ad on every channel until election day. Devastating… (Quack! Quack!)

"It's only Countdown with Olbermann which is unabashedly liberal."
The fact he and Matthews are unabashedly liberal doesn't really bother me. What is troubling is that they are unabashedly committed to Obama. Believe it or not, Hillary is a pretty liberal candidate, but you'd never know it by watching MSNBC.

Actually, Keith used to be a Hillary supporter before the aggressive and destructive negative campaigning started coming out of the Clinton camp; the Ferraro affair and Hillary's increasingly Republican-esque stance on foreign policy I think sealed the deal. I really wish people would do at least some basic inquiry before making dramatic statements like "pundit So-and-So is a blatant and inflexible So-and-So supporter" and whatnot.

The parrot video is hilarious, Obama should use it to make fun of himself.....
And yes i am an obamafan.....
i have played it over and over...
who trained his parrot to do this?
Posted by: k | May 22, 2008 9:17 PM
You're right, his diction is excellent! Obama supporter though I am, I thought this was very funny.

I laughed. I support Obama.
Is that a good sign?
Don't misconstrue the expressions of the vocal with the sentiments of the crowd.
