Excellent, this gives me a chance to quote Lee Siegel:
"'I'm writing a book on magic' I explain, and I'm asked 'Real magic?' By real magic people mean miracles, thaumaturgical acts and supernatural powers. 'No' I answer, 'conjuring tricks, not real magic.' 'Real magic', in other words, refers to the magic which is not real, while the magic that is real, and can actually be done, is not real magic."
From Net of Magic but quoted on occasion by Daniel Dennett which is where I got it from (It's in Sweet Dreams, I believe it may also have been in a TED talk he did).
Evidently these folks in Florida meet a real magician and think he's a 'real magician'. Loved that Keith quoting Monty Python.

This must be one of the most popular segments on KO's show, and his producers must require that there be a Worst Person every night. That's the only thing I can think of to account for such a lame version of this segment.

I have another idea: his whole show is lame.

Yeah right. THe only TV news that reports on the religious zealots starting persecute people for witchcraft is lame.
Keith is the best news and commentary show on air in America.

As they say, there's no accounting for taste. For me, listening to Keith is no different from listening to Rush except I agree with Keith most of the time. I can only take about 60 seconds of Keith's snide tone and emotionally loaded language before I have to turn it off in disgust. The content is not bad, it's Keith I can't stand.
Actually when I say not bad I mean not bad compared to other TV news programs, which have set a bar so low even blogs have cleared it.

Want to smear any other random public figures while you're at it? In fairness, musical taste is obviously completely personal but one thing I can't stand is people throwing insults at random people or groups for no apparent reason and with no substance behind it.
At any rate, whether or not you like Keith personally, the fact still remains as Red said that it does a better job of cutting the crap (most of the time) and giving some airtime to actual issues than the vast majority of "news" programs out there.

Okay, maybe calling it an "insult" wasn't fair, but hopefully you see my point. Too often people will criticize something and lump something else they don't like in with it to land a dig on it by proxy without having to give a reason why.

...and his show isn't full of lies
...and he doesn't insult people with their race.
... and he encourages his viewers to think, rather then not think
Its a news and opinion show, not a news show. There is nothing wrong with that. It's the fact that there are no longer real news shows that's the problem.
