Yesterday I posted this thinking it was amusing, but judging from the comments It seems I'm the only one.
It was a tough night for Barack Obama. His staff was worried this morning when he failed to make a scheduled campaign appearance. The very junior Senator is fine; he was found hiding under Hillary's umbrella of deterrence.
Was it the very in front of junior you didn't like, or that you simply weren't amused.
Okay then, how about this, funny or not?
Hillary got a big boost out of Pennsylvania but the experts say it's not enough. Hillary will need a miracle to pull it out, they say. Rumor has it the campaign is counting on the rapture, Barack is transported to heaven and Hillary is 'left behind' to beat John McCain.
(Internet slang) a helicopter or gyrocopter emblazoned with the word "ROFL"
usage note: Such usage is often figurative, to express an amount of laughter, or laughter to an exaggerated degree, that would be otherwise expressed by an overuse of LOL, ROFL, and their various derivatives. However, the irony was taken to the point of constructing animated pictures of such helicopters and including them in computer games, [3] and thus sometimes the usage is literal rather than figurative.
Why not "not so black very junior senator," why not "uses her husband's experience as her own" senator Clinton, how about "counts irrelevant votes for Florida and Michigan" Senator Clinton, how about "voted for Iraq senator" how about "works for Walmart for extra cash" Senator...all are true but you only stick adjectives in front of the "very junior senator's" name...it's just petty and reaching at straws when you've got nothing of real merit to say. I love checking this site to see how far this site has become a polemical joke, and is turning into "just another ranting with-nothing-of-merit-ad hominem-attack-site." Good job. Keep up the "very junior" high school jabs and pathetic attempt at sounding witty and intelligent.

Bingo. Hillary will need the Holy Spirit to help her out if she expects to get the nomination.
Perhaps her Holy Spirit will help her to cause people to fear Obama's Blackness (all the while alleviating any fear of electing a woman), and perhaps her Holy Spirit will cause people to fear his support of inner-city juvenile delinquent Black kids, and to fear Reverand Right, and to fear his opinions of gun-toting flag-loving 'Mercans.
U.S.A.! U.S.A.! We all proudly wear our flag pins and put our hands over our hearts when we hear the Star Spangled Banner. Anyone who doesn't toe the line is a radical terrorist.
Thanks for posting the links explaining the acronym, esp. the copter part. I guess I'm getting old, but I read the links and still have no idea what any of it means...
And about the jokes, my vote is also "not offensive in the least, but not very funny... early in the evening late night material at best."

i guess we know now where the ad hominem attacks are coming from.
Norm, I've been wary of your sense of humor since you told me a long, rambling story years ago that finally ended with the guy asking for a discount on his auto insurance because he had switched to the vitamins with anti-accidents.
I therefore recognized both entrants as attempts at humor.
Both comments were funny, but I suspect Norm is making a deep theological joke with the second one, implying that Hillary is the anti-Christ who will rise to power after the rapture.
Honestly though she needs a rapture-like event to win the nomination. And yet she hasn't officially lost so there's no point in dropping out.

Noun roflcopter (also ROFLcopter and ROFLCopter)
(Internet slang) a helicopter or gyrocopter emblazoned with the word "ROFL" usage note: Such usage is often figurative, to express an amount of laughter, or laughter to an exaggerated degree, that would be otherwise expressed by an overuse of LOL, ROFL, and their various derivatives. Fail.
But kudos for trying. Campaign humor is as stale as the campaigns themselves.

I think they're both funny, with the new one being funnier than the first...

It was very slightly amusing, but Lemos has poisoned the phrase "very junior".

There is nothing even remotely amusing about your official attempts at humour.
However, this:
is almost a work of art. Well done.

You're right. I should try this on my students when my jokes start to fall flat.

Barrack Obama is sooo weak and unexperienced he can't possibly beat McCain. Yet he is beating Hillary. Hmmmm.

I'm just not in the mood for jokes, right now. Be they on Obama or Hillary or McSame.
Were on course for Bush III - and that is the biggest joke of them all.

I don't think the fact there is a poll whether the jokes are funny or not is funny....
It's Hillary-air-ious!
