A different, less effusive. take on Martin Amis' book is in the NY Times today at http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/27/books/review/Wieseltier-t.html?ref=review

Thanks for the Martin Amis article. I just picked up "Koba the Dread" the other day and it's next in line for my reading list... looks like the new one is now second in line.
The Dawkins letter was quite a read. I guess this character actor (Ben Stein) is a step up from Kirk Cameron as the celebrity voice of creationism but for the "anti-Hollywood elite" crowd it seems like yet more ignorant hypocrisy that they will gobble up the crap that any entertainer tells them as long as it already feeds into their warped world view. Seriously, Cameron, Stein, Chuck Norris, Ronnie Reagan, Dennis Miller, Stephen Baldwin... I swear, the only talented one they seem to have had is Charleton Heston.
But, I guess if the guy from an old Comedy Central game show and voice of beloved animated characters like "Giggles the Clown" says atheists crave the blood of Jews, it must be true. Wonder if Creationists have checked in to see if they could get Weird Al Yankovich to lend support and credibility to the cause?
