wow Larry looks like a corpse!

..

Hell, he almost had me convinced to vote for him.

Hell, what would convince you to vote for Hillary?

Yeah, that's sarcasm. But I've asked this question several times, on this blog -- what are the actual arguments against Obama? I've never gotten an answer.

What is wrong with Barak Obama? Why would he be a bad president?

From ontheissues.org: Hillary's faith, or perhaps her personality or seriousness generally, must have been a contributing factor to her staying on the straight and narrow. She called herself "an ethical Christian," physically aloof from the counterculture. Her college friends do not recall her smoking dope, dropping acid, drinking to excess, or tearing off her clothes during concerts. She did not imbibe the hedonism and drug culture of the period; she did not drop out. She at one time painted a flower on her arm and wore tie-dye clothes, and as surviving photos attest, looked like a girl of the sixties, but was no Janis Joplin. Obama on smoking pot: "I inhaled. Frequently. That was the point."

Dzwonka: Hell, what would convince you to vote for Hillary?

I'm rather more curious about what could convince Norm NOT to vote for Hillary. Clearly, he has the stomach for her falsehoods and pandering bullshit. So what would Hillary Walter Mitty have to do to alienate him for good?

Norm NOT to vote for Hillary

I'm not voting for Hillary. I'll grudgingly support the nominee, but I'll personally not vote for either of them.

"I'm rather more curious about what could convince Norm NOT to vote for Hillary. Clearly, he has the stomach for her falsehoods and pandering bullshit. So what would Hillary Walter Mitty have to do to alienate him for good?"

I'm sure if Hilary supporters started talking about his opinions like that he'd soon come around.

I would hope that, when Norm "supports the nominee", that would include encouraging other people to vote for her or him. I believe Norm's rationale is that he lives in a state where the outcome will not be in doubt, so he has the luxury of voting his conscience and not going for one of these watered-down liberals. I just hope that he doesn't encourage others, in other states, to do the same, thereby enabling the election of McCain, who would end up making Hillary or Barack look like Ralph Nader by comparison.

Little Mickey, Norm has stated before that he will not be voting for either candidate. And why should he? Until the Democratic party can come up with a candidate that is different than the Republican candidate, I won't vote for them either. Who knows if that will ever happen, since they take money from, hold allegiance to and represent essentially the same people, groups and corporations.

On a side note: Does Larry King even know where he is anymore? That might be a little mean, but seriously, why do people still go on his show to be interviewed?

for Jim Jones (who DID work for the CIA, btw)

Funny Larry King story from La La land:

My friend Paul worked for a small videogame company in the CNN building on Sunset. They saw larry King often in the elevator as the studio and offices were on seperate floors. Larry travels with attendants, some secretarial, others security.

Paul and his freinds were in a conversation about the latest game and the sniper rifle featured in it, then spoke about C4. larry got a worried look on his face, the security guys moved between the King and the geeks, and they pressed the elevator buton for the next floor and got off.

side notw: Larry doesn't push the elevator button himself. Ever. And apparently he looks like a angry shrunken elf in person. shrug

On the Jim Jones tip. How many here know that he worked for the CIA and that a CIA agent is heard being told to leave on teh very last suicide tape "Get Dweyer out of here before somethings happens to him" and that LOTS of drugs 9same drugs used in the MKULTRA program) were found on site? Wierd.

Well, if Obama did use it as an official ad, he'd definitely get my vote.

Loads better than "I did not inhale."

So, I'll put forth the question once again: what is wrong with Barack Obama?

Cause he's inexperienced and fails to take a decisive stand on the issues! Nah, i don't think so. I think nowadays backroom politics (which is where the skills learned by a statesmen come into play) are more or less played out by seasoned diplomats and advisors on behalf of presidents anyways. Do you truly think that Hillary Clinton can hold herself against Vladimir Putin or even Medvedev in any serious discussion when she can't even pronounce their names? I'd argue to you that it's not about experience anymore, but about the stances you do take, and your ability to surround yourself with a knowledgeable and well rounded cabinet rather then have all the necessary skills of a statesmen outright. Because if your expecting Clinton to be anymore of a Bismarckian negotiator then Obama, your a fool, unless your voting for Bill and not Hillary (and he was a shitty diplomat himself).

I'm not voting for Hillary. I'll grudgingly support the nominee

That's right - you did say that. My apologies. I've been reading too many new blogs and am forgetting the finer points of my regular stops.

haha what happened norm? finally started seeing hillary for what she really is? And listening to her talk about god guns and calling obama elitist was making me sick.

finally started seeing hillary for what she really is?

I've always known what Hillary is. The problem is that many of you have been unaware of what Barack really is. Just another politician, and one who is less liberal on many important issues, healthcare being one of the most important.

The answer to another commenters question is: If you live in a state where it matters vote for the Democratic candidate unless, standing on principle, you're willing to accept John McCain as our next president.

Hopefully now you want be slamming obama everyday.

Hopefully now you want be slamming obama everyday.

Hope is not enough.

lets get back to what we can all agree on slamming the neo cons

Hey I wont fault you there, politics is a dirty game and you dont get to the top without being somewhat tarnished. At the least hopefully either candidate will move the country closer to something we can be proud of.

It seems that it used to be that opposition to the war was, I don't know, like the main issue driving dissatisfaction with Bush. If one is willing to accept McCain doing his part to keep troops in Iraq for a hundred years in order to vote for Nader, then it seems to me that the principal principle involved would be something like short-sightedness in the name of ideology. With all due respect... And, believe me, I like Ralph Nader plenty.

OK, so Larry King looks like the host of Tales from the Crypt, he doesn´t know what a bong is, “drum circle” is something with which he is unfamiliar, ditto for “toke,” and he is generally just fucking awful and suffers from acute humor impairment, but you have to admire the fact that a dead guy can still be doing a TV show for all these years.

Sorry for the double post. My pirated internet signal is for shit today.

Norm is a funny guy. Quote:

Hope is not enough.

Might I remind you that cynicism is not a valid substitute for intelligence.

Cynicism might not be a valid substitute for intelligence, but it's a good start...

What is wrong with Oblablabama?

It is the bla bla.

The only reasons I have ever heard to vote for Oblablabama is that he spews a lot of hot air effectively and that he raises a lot of money.

"Cynicism might not be a valid substitute for intelligence, but it's a good start..."

It's not the worst thing in the world, but the problem is actually that it's really a dead end.

I'm a bit ticked off by HRC's campaign but I'm not cynical at all. Whatever happens the Democrat will probably win and will have a majority in Congress. I could compare that to what I'd wish in my wildest fantasy, but I'd rather compare it with what has happened in my lifetime, and for the most part it's good. All my liberal sensibilties will be happily voting for the Democrat.

"My pirated internet signal..."

You too?
