the embeded vids from comedy central are a pain in the ass. i get redirected to cc's canadian site, which is just as visually noisy and obnoxious as its american counerpart AND i have to hunt for the video, which is a big time waster.
i like your site and the videos but i hate navigating through cc's crap.
too bad. your site just lost a big part of its "go to" factor.
otherwise, i like your site

darby,
hmmm.. are there any settings in your browser that would tell the cc site that you are a canadian? perhaps changing a setting like that would keep your onegoodmove experience all-happy-like.
besides, masquerading like an american for a while will help balance out all those american backpackers in europe masquerading like canadians (you know who you are).

I second darby mills' complaint. I find myself visiting OGM less now that half the videos - and thus half the subjects of conversation here - are not available to me. I tried going through a proxy but that doesn't seem to work for Flash embeds.
In the meantime, I shall grudgingly post what should be a link to the dot-ca version of the above clip:

Furthermore, for the record, Viacom and other such American corporations can fuck off and die.

Robinson, web browser software generally does not send geographical data.
Furthermore, the CC site most likely uses the IP address of the user's connection to determine their location, which is something that users are quite unable to change.
Your IP address can be masked by connecting to websites through a US proxy, but CC's Flash embeds don't seem to work in web-based proxy services, and using a more complex proxy set-up would be far too much trouble, not to mention very difficult for the average user to set up.
