The opening "Oprah and the inner city" bit is probably what won the guy the debate. Boy-fucking aside, the other guy just didn't have the chops or the humor to rebut his point. I'm looking forward to seeing more of this show... and I'm glad to see something starring Louis Black that doesn't turn me off within 10 minutes.
Agreed. I was glad when I saw this his roll in the show was not the staring act. I think it has promise. I laughed a few times.
It's amazing to see how many shows have started from the daily show, not to mention how many actors have made it big through them.
Sorry Thaddeus, but I think you meant "role" and "starring".

Lewis Black was on Letterman the night before. He started talking about Root of All Evil, and when he said the first show was Oprah vs. the Catholic Church, people didn't know what to do with it. It was priceless.
There was also another pretty funny jab at the audience when Lewis Black started talking about his trip to entertain the troops, and how great the army was, and the guys are superb people, etc., so people were getting ready for the applause, and then he says forget the elections, you know what would be good? A military coup! Haha, it was great people didn't know if to laugh or what.
