Battle Hymn of the Republic?

Are you kidding me?

So long as both of the Democrat candidates are capable of getting behind the other then I don't care who it is that eventually wipes the floor with McCain.

Perhaps not the best idea to use characters known for being wackos or criminals?

ah, abused women just love Jack ... he's so familiar . . .

maybe they should've included the whole scene for full efffect:

"I want you to hold it between your knees . . ."

I didn't know Jack Nicholson did satire. Good to see this blog doesn't take itself too seriously to make fun of the Hillary Clinton campaign.

Great spot. Always liked Jack...like him more now. This Jack's fro Hillary, too.

Jack

the irony is pretty funny...that is to say, when did Jack ever choose to "side" with women over 60?

i really hope that was a joke

This is over at the Huffington Post but they closed the comments. Censorship, I think. Criticisms of Obama verbotten. Anyone who supports Clinton, shut your trap. That seems the attitude of the main blogs. Thanks Norm for keeping this open to all.

Hillary 08

That has to be satire.

Jack plays great bad guy in film -- so, villains (or Lakers fans?) vote for Hillary?

It's almost as hilarious as the "3am" add, for which Obama "Pwned" Hillary over.

Was on the fence in TX, now caucusing for Obama.

THANKS!

If that isn't satire can someone tell me which window it is that I have to show my arse in.

As much as i like Jack, that was bollocks....either way I'm afraid...

RX, you know what to do...

Endorsements from movie villains are again, not the silver bullet Hillary is looking for.

Still love jack, but I really hope Danny Devito does an Penguin Obama endorsement just to even the score.

The really sad thing about the political season? It's that Americans all, en masse, begin taking themselves so goddamned seriously.

This was a great clip. I voted for someone different than Jack did, but I love that he's involved, and I love that he chose the clips he did. The idea of critiquing this piece as if it's supposed to be taken more seriously than Jack has ever expected to be taken is just silly, and everyone should get over themselves.

As the new Joker is known to have said, "Why So Serious?" Can't we have some fun while this campaign is still in the balance? Can't we dance and joke and enjoy the pageant and spectacle? Yes. We. Can!

Phidippides, ever dance with the devil in the pale moonlight?

"The really sad thing about the political season? It's that Americans all, en masse, begin taking themselves so goddamned seriously"
Wholeheartedly agree. And as it appears the Dems have more than a good chance to win this thing, we/they should especially be a little joyous and "dance and joke and enjoy the pageant and spectacle". Not to the point of frivolity, of course, but enough to irritate and disrupt the Reps. Hell, with enough noise we might even cause some of the most conservative to keel over from heart-failure or, at the very least, stay home come 11/05. Either way is fine by me.

Jack's the man!

I didn't think this was a very effective ad, but I do like how some people will therefore conclude I take myself too seriously.

Gotta love the Predictable Internet.

I prefer to think of myself as Reliable.

Signed,

The Internets

PS And yes, Aglee,of course, I was only thinking of you as I wrote. As ever.

I got a call from Jack Nicholson. True Story.

I live in the Valley (LA) and I got a call the night before the primary from him, supporting Clinton. Sure, it was a recording grin, but I found it kinda humorous none the less. Just another crazy part of living in this town.

Heh, "reliable" works too.

Oh, and I was only thinking of you too. :)

substantive, huh?

I liked the clips; i guess I'm surprised it was picked up here, since the Obama cult critique gets more attention on 1gm. This add is the Clinton equivalent, no?
