Fox Sanity
In a rare Fox News moment the truth held sway. A tip of my hat to Chris Wallace. There is also a bit of discussion here from the Hardball panel about the polarization going on in the Democratic party. Some dangers we should all recognize regardless of which candidate we favor, and do our best to respect others positions no matter how foolish we find them.
And please Mr. Todd, don't say the amount of emails. We can count them, so use the number of emails.

If the race increases the nastiness at the same rate over the next month as it did over the last month then this race may end with a real knife fight.
It would be a little last frustrating if the back and forth contained real negative attacks. Instead we get this discussion of word choice and essentially the press race baiting of the campaigns and their supporters.
Norm, Do you have some counts to share?

Good for Chris Wallace... to give credit where credit is due.

uh! The smug self-assurance of those Fox commentators with their own deliberate falsehoods and smear makes me shutter. "What people wanted to hear about was his association with Wright." Um, yeah, earth to Fox News, that's kinda what he gave a big speech about, ya miss that one?
The only flaw with Wallance's remark was the sycophantic bit at the end about how they have 'debates' and 'exchanges of views' on Fox news. Yeah, right, and grizzly bears, having become toilet-trained and docile, are no longer shitting in the woods, either.

As I recall that was the same morning show where one personality tried to defend Obama indicating the quote was being taken out of context, was offended by another personality and then stormed off the set while still on the air.
But my liberal BS senses are tingling...this seems so unlikely.
Am I being too cynical to think that Fox is intentionally setting this up to try and get a few personalities in Obama's good graces so he will end the boycott and come on their network? It seems so blatantly transparent doesn't it?
Welcome to Fox Kabuki theater.

Strange that journalistic integrity should suddenly be a concern at Fox News.

I am a little frightened to see that Wallace has some integrity. How does he do his job every other day of the week if he has that?

Most TV news concerns itself with controversy—and if they can’t find it they create controversy. I guess that reporting the news is too boring for television viewers. Chris Matthews seems to be taking this even lower by reporting about the news makers themselves. First of all, who gives a shit what they do on Fox “News?” I wouldn’t watch MSNBC let alone Fox. What? I’m supposed to praise Wallace because he makes one mealy-mouthed appeal for balance? Chris Matthews is every bit as much of an idiot as anyone over at Fox. In the time it takes to watch one of these extremely uninformative shows you could have read the entire NY Times.

Hey Norm, not to make your head explode or anything but Google is displaying a "Fox Business" add to the right of this page.
Welcome to the world of the surreal.

Fox and Friends is so bad that it's easy for me to imagine even Chris Wallace getting nauseated. These are guys who pumped the Obama madrassa story.

Though I am mildly impressed, I still suspect that "FOX Sanity" is an oxymoron.

I guess Wallace didn't take Olbermann's advice to go home and start selling seeds by mail.

Whoops -- just as we're getting all warm and fuzzy about FOX, Wallace is backtracking, and wishing he hadn't done it on camera.
Once again, see my remark about about "Fox sanity".
