Sigh.
Sigh indeed.
Sigh... sigh... sigh...
What is there to say.
Being from Buffalo, NY –– there is an annual tradition. The moment the Bills get eliminated from any post season games, we change our mantra from:
"Bills make me wanna shout" to: "We're gonna win that Cup!" (for the hockey team). ;) It's been 37 years of disappointment.
BUT we never waiver in our support.
With Dennis not endorsing a candidate (good for him) what to do...
I too saw it coming since Bill Maher, I think, commented that he was too short for people to seriously consider him for president.
We have much work to do yet before we even DESERVE a Kucinich, really.
I still sighed heavily upon reading this, though.
"We have much work to do yet before we even DESERVE a Kucinich, really."
I totally agree with this statement. I think Kucinich is the type of President America would elect if we ever got around to educating our selves as a society as a whole, and we we finally grew up.
It is a depressingly rainy here in L.A. today..and rightfully so it seems. :(
He's got some quirkiness, but sort of the funny thing is that as there has been all these articles calling for Edwards to be brought into greater standing within the nomination process, the ultimate reality is that Kucinich is the one we wanted.
Take care, buddy.
I wouldn't have voted for Kucinich for the same reason I won't vote for Obama or Clinton. (What? You thought they had nothing in common?) Though I like most of his positions better than the rest, he has not demonstrated an ability to lead his own party. No one has. I'm voting for Edwards by default, who hasn't had the opportunity to lead inside Congress for the last 4 years. I like his positions, and especially his fighting attitude, more than Obama's and Clinton's. Kucinich would not have gotten my vote, though I have high respect for the principled man.
Well the democrats officially have nobody worth wasting the time it takes to drive a mile down the road to the nearest voting booth. Luckily Ron Paul hasnt dropped out yet. If that happens, I'm not voting and moving to another country.
I don't vote for people based on their ability to lead their party.
I don't want someone who can lead a pack of assholes, I want someone who will fight them when they are wrong.
I would rather someone spend 8 years in office not getting anything done than someone else spending 4 years in office getting the wrong thing done.
I think Kucinich is dropping out because there is too much heat in the local race and he can't hope to run 2 campaigns at the same time.
Time to start looking for a viable 3rd party candidate.
Don't feel too bad for him, have you seen his wife? Smokin' hot. But seriously it's a disappointment to see him drop out, I hope he runs again in '12.
"Mr. Kucinich told the Plain Dealer today that he would not endorse another Democrat in the primary."
A man of honor to the end.
"We have much work to do yet before we even DESERVE a Kucinich, really."
sh!t
fnck
If we got what we deserved, George Bush (the son) would be president. Who says anyone ever gets what they deserve? President for life, I mean.
So, Edwards it is, onwards, and swear-words.
I'm sorry that Kucinich has dropped out, mainly because we need his ideas in the campaign. However, I don't think he'd make a great president of this country. His rhetoric is just too touchy-feely for the gig. I don't mean the UFO stuff; I mean the way he discusses his philosophy. This was garnered from his inerviews with the Des Moines Register, where he was given a chance to espouse his positions on numerous political issues. I happen to agree with him on many points.
It will be great to have him in congress. I think he can be most effective in the legislature.
