It's impossible to not be smug when discussing the superstitious beliefs of power-mad political aspirants. If the truth moves you to violence, perhaps you are the smug one.

This is masturbatory, an exercise of testifying one's feelings of anti-theism, and feeling sorry for the predicament anti-theists find themselves in. Nothing here is an attempt at any actual rational persuasion, but rather it's a feel-good affirmation, preached to the choir. It feels like the same exercise the Mormons do once a month when congregates are encouraged to testify their belief in front of fellow churchgoers.

I don't know, . . . I certainly agree with alot of what he says, but I could see how his demeanor could rub someone the wrong way. On the otherhand, even though it's not necessarily the tone I might want to take myself I think there is room for everyone in a revolution. And I do think we need some sort of revolution, or perhaps evolution in society to one that doesn't base so much of morality and truth claims on faith. I don't wannna see any violent revolution mind you. If GWB calls for a faith based inititive, we need to make a reason based inititive. So I wouldn't necessarily speak in the same tone myself but figure maybe it is one method that someone has to do.
