One of the few singable songs about the Iraq situation I've heard.
Interesting structure. The chorus was used like a bridge. Lyrics changing each time around.
That Hallluya ending was brilliant.
When I think of Falluja, I recall the picture of that Iraqi woman carrying a Kalashnikov protecting her child as she tried to escape a free fire zone setup by the Americans. And I think of this father and child, gunned down, for whatever reason.
Then I think, "how can people, with food in their bellies, travel thousands of miles to shoot down people with no food in their bellies?".
I suppose that's why they call us infidels.
I mean, if someone gunned down your child, what would you do? Its only an accident of birth that seperates us, the genetic and political lottery.
Violence is failure.
Who is that?
