The Story of Stuff was ver useful. it's ideal for sharing wth folks not so clear on the real problems.
The "Stuff" video has it's share of flaws, what 20 minute presentation on a hugely complicated economic subject wouldn't? My recent Vista adventures cause me to point the gnarled finger at Mr. Gates for giving us computer planned obsolescence - the PC example in the movie is an easy target for the debunking crowd. I wish this was posted before Black Friday, so the message could percolate.

Has breast milk really become so contaminated? Does anyone have a link to confirm this?
Shocking if true.
I strongly suggest reading "Third Millennium Capitalism" by Rogers if you can find it. This was a text used in a Business Ethics class I took a few years ago, and it really left an impression on me.
The flip side to this cartoon is the recent Ted talk posted here, which explains how economic incentive has caused businesses to increase energy efficiency.
To those who say "environmental capitalism" is an oxymoron, I have one word: solar. Here's hoping MIT can prove me right.
A liiiiiiiiittle bit of a biased factor with that Story of Stuff animation.
Zaphod,
Wind power appears to be at least environmentally benign as solar power.

The "stuff" video should be shared among all, even if it is simplistic and a bit biased. Yes, Virginia, there is a reason why Santa can get you a hand painted dolly for $4.99.
