Well done, Bertha!

You got to love the irony

The real irony is the ad running down the side of OGM while I read this that is for the Ben Stein's "expelled" Pro-ID movie. I hate you google ads.

The Nova program was very excellent.

Ha!

That fossil bit at the end is just too perfect.

Thank the spaghetti monster that there's some humor in this or the fact that this is still being 'debated' would be just too tragic.

The smoking gun, cdesign proponentsists, is terrific, isn't it?

Magnolia is right about the irony too - Ben Stein's propaganda movie and Newsmax sites in the Google advertising right under the "Adverise Liberally" banner is pretty amusing.

If found this comment regarding the "cdesign proponentsists" transitional fossil:

Both creationists and Intelligent Design proponents were quick to point out that the discovery had created two new gaps between the two movements.

Zing!

I was smiling from ear to ear by the end of that clip... it's the evolution of creationists! ( =

Yeah, what the hell? Thats pretty lame. But yea, 'cdesign proponentsists' - you can't make this stuff up.

Stupidity. I'm left wondering why there had to be any cases built or evidence found to prove what should be #$!&ing obvious to even the most casual observer.

When will this utter foolishness end?

Gotta love PBS. That was an excellent program -- except it's just so absolutely goddamned infuriating that these retarded opinions should even be given enough credence to be allowed a platform at all.

An otherwise intelligent and level-headed colleague of mine once confessed that she dabbled in astronomy -- but begged me to not tell a soul about it. That's fair enough, I think: we're not machines; we all have certain irrational tendencies, to some extent or another. But at least she understood that believing in astrology is -- you know, not a virtue.

The converse is the true evil of religion: that whatever they say or do in the name of religion, is considered a virtue, and something to be proud of.

And that's why us atheists need to quit pussy-footing around these destructive, horrible people by showing "respect" for their irrational, inhumane and evil religions. They should be ridiculed and humiliated to the point where they no longer dare to publicly admit to their irrational bullshit.

As Pat Condell puts it, why does faith deserve respect? Anyone who has to demand respect automatically deserves ridicule. If you deserved respect, you'd already have it. You'd be rolling around in it like a televangelist in other people's money. No, what you deserve is mockery.

What I don't understand is why Ben Stein would spend his money to tell us not to go to his movie. "No Intelligence Allowed"? Fine. I won't go. I wasn't planning to anyway.

Well! I hope you convinced her to smash her telescope to pieces and give up her ridiculous habits. :)

cdesign proponentsists, n. Fossilized subspecies of creationists invariably found in a slate of mispunctuated disequilibrium. Hopeless monsters without the ability to double-click.
