This Week w/George Stephanopoulos

All four represent a lull for this week. None of them brought out the slightest chuckle in me. I don't even think the Leno joke had a punchline, or am I missing something?
Maher wins.
Sigh, I'd assumed "Funnies" implied some actual humor was involved. Seriously, nothing better than these four choices?
I think the Leno joke is that babies will feel rich, and everyone knows those evil bastard rich people are all republicans, and heaven help us if there's more of THEM out there.
Let's see - the babies get money they didn't earn and become Republicans. Oh, i get it - he forgot about the no-bid, cost-plus contract part.
Maher wins.
Maher.
I was going to vote for Amy regardless of the joke, purely because she's cute (and usually funny), but I couldn't bring myself to vote for a tired joke about the Gore/Bush election.
Steven Colbert's editorial in place of Dowd in the NY Times is way funnier.
I might have said Maher except I think Pelosi's found a way to shut down the war in Iraq by following the lead of Holocaust survivor Tom Lantos' lead.
It's gonna be near impossible for Bush to counter that and repair the breach with Turkey.
All blandly on par but I think I have to go with Amy Poehler as it was the snarkiest.
Maher, hands down. The flaccid Democratic Congress deserves every bit of grief it gets. I agree that the Armenian killings were genocide. But what is the point of Congress saying they were? Are they now just in the biz of making pronouncements rather than laws? Oh, and let's alienate one of the few countries still on our side on this planet, while making a superfluous pronouncement.
The democrats are just making their way up the time line. This year they're tackling 1915. Just give them another 25 years in power and by the year 2032 they'll pass a bill to bring our troops home from Iraq. Patience.
Maher's joke had the most substance. But Leno's joke had the most meaning to me. It made me wonder: Why does he still have a job?
"by the year 2032 they'll pass a bill to bring our troops home from Iraq."
Then, after the radiation dies down, they can come out of the luxury bunkers and put it into action.
was I the only one that thought the snl joke was hilarious? Yeah, i know snl doesn't get it right that often these days, but i certainly laughed out loud for a good minute or two at that one....
