ugh, the daily show going archive looks good... until you realize they "prepared" by taking away access to people in places like canada.
comedy central has blocked canadian IPs from the american website.
same f*ing story every time. take away something we got before, leave it in place for america but not canada, and then charge for it. WTF?
Actually, I'm in Canada and I can use the site fine....
hmm, are u sure it's comedycentral.com and not .ca?
I really enjoyed Will You Please Be Quiet, Please?, by Carver. If the story of Carver's editor interests you, you might also be interested in Max Perkins: Editor of Genius, by A. Scott Berg, which chronicles Perkins' efforts with F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Thomas Wolfe and others. Also, the Robert Altman film, Short Cuts is loosely based on Carver's stories.
I enjoyed Short Cuts when I watched it several years ago and will certainly be checking out Berg's book. Thanks.
