White House Calls Bin Laden "Impotent"
You'd think after his bring em on comment during the beginning of the Iraq War he would have learned something, but politics once again trumps common sense. Whether for his legacy or to help Republicans he does it again.
Seemingly taunting Osama bin Laden, President George W. Bush's homeland security adviser said the fugitive al Qaeda leader is "virtually impotent" beyond his ability to hide away and spread anti-American propaganda.
The provocative characterization Sunday came just days after bin Laden attracted international attention with the release of a video in which he ridicules Mr. Bush about the Iraq war and reminds the world that he has not been captured.

If i were OBL, i totally would say at the end of my speach, "oh yeah, please vote for mitt romney", just because it would be fun to see the next day headline "Mitt withdraws from Presidential race"

Jest when you thought bush couldn't be more moronic.
The internet conspiracy folks seem pretty sure this is a CIA fake. Once you see bushes reaction it makes alot more sense. Lets tee up Osama talking about Iraq so bush can look tough and impress the heartland.
I think even the heartland is beyond this bad theater production we call a government.

Apparently they need to do something besides digging up real information, or doing their part to force their elected representatives to be more accountable... so instead they entertain themselves with "theories".
Sigh.

Mitt withdraws from Presidential race
Of course, GW has been an absolute bonanza for OBL and another rabid, Bible thumpin' Republican is his fondest dream.

Only a Republican candidate can protect the free world from an impotent threat. That's the party line at least. Seems paradoxical but is really just plain stupid. It will make an excellent statement to use when the OBL bogeyman is used during the election.

"The internet conspiracy folks seem pretty sure this is a CIA fake."
Besides not trusting anything that the government tells me anymore, the thing that has me wondering about the new bin Laden tape is his beard color. In some images/tapes it's gray in places, which makes since because he's getting old. In this new tape it's all brown/black from what I can tell. I don't know if Islam allows for its followers to use hair dye or not, but I would guess not if I had to.
I don't know if the conspiracy people (or anyone else) has addressed this already. I don't proclaim to be a conspiracy theorist, myself.

I don't know about CIA involvement, but it is interesting that the video is "stuck" whenever there is a mention of any sort of recent event.

"I don't know if Islam allows for its followers to use hair dye or not..."
All right, from what I've read, there is not a rule stating that Muslims cannot dye their hair, so I guess my first post is a non-issue.

Have you heard of General Betray Us' troop withdrawl outline? Yippy! The troops deployed in the surge will now come home while a substantial still stay in Iraq. It's like a pickpocket giving you back your own money in generous amounts. Of course the approval hasn't been made by Bozo (bush) nor is it any time soon.

They call him impotent?
I call him still on the loose, still free and still getting away with killing thousands of people.
Thanks Bush.

"Seemingly taunting Osama bin Laden, President George W. Bush's homeland security adviser said the fugitive al Qaeda leader is "virtually impotent" beyond his ability to hide away and spread anti-American propaganda."
From a foreigner's perspective, the irony is that Bush is creating and spreading so much bad-will himself, that no-one else needs to spread anti-American propaganda.

The next step in the War On Terror will probably be a campaign about how Osama has a small wiener.

The question I want answered is just how Georgie knows OBL is impotent? Is this yet another Republican scandal regarding gay men? Just who has George been playing footsies with and when did he do it?

Osama, don't know what to make out of him, but he certainly helped the neocon agenda when he supposedly provided that new Pearl Harbor type of event that they needed.
It's interesting that there still is no Charges on Osama for 9/11: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnUQczDktgI
On June 5, 2006, the Muckraker Report contacted the FBI Headquarters, (202) 324-3000, to learn why Bin Laden’s Most Wanted poster did not indicate that Usama was also wanted in connection with 9/11. The Muckraker Report spoke with Rex Tomb, Chief of Investigative Publicity for the FBI. When asked why there is no mention of 9/11 on Bin Laden’s Most Wanted web page, Tomb said, “The reason why 9/11 is not mentioned on Usama Bin Laden’s Most Wanted page is because the FBI has no hard evidence connecting Bin Laden to 9/11.”
Surprised by the ease in which this FBI spokesman made such an astonishing statement, I asked, “How this was possible?” Tomb continued, “Bin Laden has not been formally charged in connection to 9/11.” I asked, “How does that work?” Tomb continued, “The FBI gathers evidence. Once evidence is gathered, it is turned over to the Department of Justice. The Department of Justice than decides whether it has enough evidence to present to a federal grand jury. In the case of the 1998 United States Embassies being bombed, Bin Laden has been formally indicted and charged by a grand jury. He has not been formally indicted and charged in connection with 9/11 because the FBI has no hard evidence connected Bin Laden to 9/11.”

"We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality--judiciously, as you will--we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors...and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do."

Maybe we should send OBL some Viagra. That way he can once terrorize the sheeps and goats of the mountains!
Posted by: styrofoamseppoku | September 11, 2007 8:04 AM
that is, I mean to say, once again terrorize. Not just once, that would be silly.

Bin Laden Tape Forgets The Funny
Making his regularly scheduled pre-9/11 appearance on Al Jazeera’s smash hit Cave-In With Harpo bin Steinberg-Akeem, long-lost Saudi sweetheart and 3-time Global Cave-Dwellathon Champion Osama “Not Our Priority” bin Laden gave an Impending Wrath of Allah speech that strangely forgot the wrath part. Militant Al’Qaeda leaders condemned the speech as “soft” and “obviously written by Bush speechwriters.”
“He forgot the funny,” said Deputy Operations Chief and Prom Committee Chairman Ayman “Ay, Mon!” al-Zawahiri in an angry internet rant posted this evening to YouTube. “Where was the Rain of Fire? Where was the Vengeful Serpent that will bite the heads and genitals of the infidels? Those are show-stoppers, that’s comedy gold.”
The story continues...
