Rocky vs. Hannity - Audience Q&A
The Q&A from last night's debate between Sean Hannity and Rocky Anderson provided the best exchanges between the two, and that is the content of this clip. The debate consisted of three parts 30 minutes opening statements, a 30 minute segment where each spent 15 minutes asking questions of the other, and finally questions from the audience and closing statements. In the opening statements Rocky made a devastating case for the impeachment of George Bush. Sean responded in his 30 minutes with personal attacks against Rocky and that Democrats were equally responsible for the mistakes. Hannity didn't bother to address any factual issues, he appealed to flag waving, showing dead bodies, and ridicule to support his position. The questions for each other proved to be worthless. The format no limit on question length just try and keep them short and a moderator who failed miserably to maintain control added to the problem. My take on the debate, Hannity had his ass handed to him. I'll be posting some additional video over the weekend. Stay tuned. Rocky's Opening Statement

when it comes to FOX, credibility is something that is shunned. To be part of FOX you need to be a narrow minded christian zealot who's opinion can never be swayed. no flip floppers for them.

"Any republican as long as she isn't elected." Fuck Sean Hannity, that god damned piece of sexist shit. No, it's better to have a womanizer, a liar or a polygimer in office then a WOMAN. No, we should be barefoot an pregnaunt in the kitchen and how dare we stick our noses into bigger world affairs, it's just too much for our fragile brains to handle, now go back and make me some eggs, woman! Ugh!!! FUCK HIM UP HIS GODDAMNED HAS WITH NO LUBE!!!
...End femanist rant, have a good day.

Yeah, some of us watched this via 'the internets' and the moderator was incredibly inept.
From what I've seen of Hannity's show, this demonstration last night was just as abysmal. He has no content. There was a point where I think Rocky was getting pretty damned heated, but I think he thought he was coming to a debate; poor thing, he wasn't.

the hackery is no more apparent than when Hackity said "any republican but her". talking points and allegiance to a party; his allegiane to his party comes before his allegiane to this nation. fuck hannity the hack.

Hannity can't answer a question.
How do you support the troops? All he can tell you is how not to support them.
Which candidate from your party do you most support? All he can do is villify a candidate from the other party.
What would you do concerning Iraq if you were president?Spend more money and bad-mouth the democratic party.

Why do people respond to blackmail more favorably than they would respond to reasonable voice. What ever the republicans have been doing is blackmailing the American people by saying if we don’t get in power the terrorist will get weapons of mass distraction. I don’t see any other reason that got bush elected for president other than that. And since then and still now they are just using the same stupid argument again and again and people seem to respond favorability toward them when they do that. Why do a person who think rationally is thought of as being a weak ? It is not force that wins wars, it is strategy . it is rationally thinking president that can keep America safe than this bubble head baboon.

Wow... Sean Hannity is a huge douche. At least he sounded like the idiot that he is.

Nooo… I can't watch Hannity, not right now and likely not later. As much as I admire Rocky Anderson, participating in a debate (?) with an ignorant blow-hard who has absolutely no cred except with the cretins, offers an appearance of legitimacy to the illegitimate.
Hannity is worthless and needs to be treated as such; not given another platform to woe his moronic followers from and garner more publicity for himself and Fux News. He relishes being disliked because he would fade away from indifference and doesn't have enough substance to handle mass appeal.
Until we the people take the souless likes of Hannity, Coulter, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, down several notches this country ain't going forward or even standing still.
Goddamn it… I hate hating people, especially when that is exactly what they want me to do, know what I mean?

If Clinton was a good candidate for president then maybe we could call Hannity a sexist. I think he emphasized she because everybody would know who he is talking about. He's still a douche, don't get me wrong, it's just that Hilary sucks.

The more I listened to Hannity, the more I knew what hell might be like.

All of you liberal morons are so predictable. If any of you had half a brain you would realize that Rocky was the douche. All he could do was bash on Bush and say he needs to be impeached. And when Hannity asked Rocky for 5 ways different solutions to the Iraqi war, he couldn't even come up with one and he referred back to impeachment. That is all that moron is good for are protests not being a mayor!
Posted by: D | May 6, 2007 11:29 AM
The morons from the right have arrived. Scooter may not have liked the answers Rocky provided but he provided more than five suggestions on how to deal with Iraq. Leave, get help from the U.N., talk to Iran and Syria, quit torturing Muslims, focus on Afghanistan.
Posted by: Norm | May 6, 2007 12:16 PM
Let me add the topic of the debate was two-part:
Is the policy of the United State of America in Iraq producing successful results or is it failing, and is President George W. Bush discharging the duties of his office in a capable fashion, or should he be impeached.
Posted by: Norm | May 6, 2007 12:28 PM
Why is it so easy to say things like "liberal morons"...? I don't understand how people think they can just discredit valid arguement by invoking "hate" words. Orwell nightmare is healthy and thriving in a hateful america

I started to watch this but quickly realized that this was nothing more than a show. Nothing substantial probably came out of it but I'll never know since I can't get pass the 3rd question. I mean…what are the credentials of these two? One (who I support) is the Mayor of a city so at least he has some political experience. The other is not an expert on anything. He is not even a journalist. I'm sorry but we have to start skipping stuff like this that don't really deal with the issues.

I thought one of the greatest parts of the whole debate was the moderator. What could he have done differently? The format for the debate was made by the two parties so he didn't have voice in that, he also can't make people shutup. But at least he added some humor into the whole bag of shit that was the debate.

Bush critisized for WMD's but liberals given a pass?
Hmmm, last I checked the liberals didn't support going against the rest of the world to invade Iraq.
Hannity is guilty of aiding and abatting a War Criminal.

It's sad to see how stupid politics (and people in general) in America have become. On one hand you have a bunch of stupid, mostly ignorant liberals that couldn't reason their way out of a paper bag (in large part because of all the dope they smoked in the 60s.. or earlier today), and on the other hand you have arrogant, greedy, and also stupid neo-cons that refuse to do anything to benefit anyone other than special interest groups. To top it off, you have blogs like this one that merely compound the problems already in place by "firestorming" and spreading hatred, vilifying anyone that disagrees with the poster as a "Nazi", "War criminal", or other standard liberal term, as well as the neo-con version of them. I have to say though, liberals are the more pathetic of the bunch, because they generally refuse to use any kind of reason in their arguments, and argue using purely emotional nonsense and vilification. Extremism will never work.. liberal, conservative, Muslim, or anything else. Step back, take a breath (not a puff), and do some real thinking sheeple.
