Rocky - Hannity Q&A

The topic of the debate was two-part: Should Bush be impeached and are we succeeding in Iraq. This is the portion of the Rocky vs. Hannity debate where they pose questions in the form of essays and answers in the form of rants. It was a frustrating segment. They needed to limit questions to a minute as well as answers and have warning lights like there were in the recent Democartic debates. I did enjoy Rocky's reaction to Seans repeated attempts to link Rocky to Democrats who 'favored the war' Sean repeated the charge over and over again during the evening the Kerry was Rocky's man until finally when Sean said he'd voted for Kerry for the second time Rocky corrected the record.

No one ever answers the questions...

Rocky is an idiot for agreeing to play on Fox'es turf

The audience was a bunch of redneck hillbillies who didn't even let either person finish. Security should have made sweeps along the aisles and kicked some idiots out to send a message. Now aside from that I think Rocky should have stayed away from those 1 hr. lecture questions because that just made him appear weaker in the debate. What was worse was his repeated refutation to Sean's personal attacks instead of being the better person and not stooping to his level. This was an utterly disastrous debate, honestly. Rocky wasn't even making good questions (I won’t say Hannity did, but I expected more from Rocky). Most of his questions were along the lines of, "Mr. Hannity, do you disagree about was Mr. So-so said about Iraq." He could have made better, more pointed questions to Sean.

You know that on the next H&C, Hannity will show heavily edited clips of this debate and then declare in Colbertian fashion,

"I did it! I won!"

(balloon drop ensues)

Should Kerry and Clinton be fired because of how they voted on the occupation? No, because they recognized their mistake and are trying to correct that mistake. Bush doesn't recognize his mistake and wants to keep on killing. Hannity is too stupid to recognize the difference.

It's not surprising a fundy like Hannity can't stick to the topic. What defense is there of Bush other than the schoolyard excuse, "But he's doing it!"

I think a great idea for both of them would have been to stay behind their podium.

Walking around, getting all worked up didnt really help this "debate". Rocky could have made a good point displaying that he can be the decent person he appears to be on most occasions. Sure, NOT walking around when Hannity does might send a bad message to the "hillbillies", like he was hiding behind the podium or things like that. But why is he constantly going to the same level that Hannity offers?

This bunch of video clips has been truly stressing, for the most part because Hannity is such an awkward person to watch, but this didn't get better when all that Rocky did was to fuel Hannitys bushist agenda.

And while we are at "bushist" - did anybody else notice the strong bush-likeness of Hannitys talking style, rhetorics and body language? Switch the face, add more stupidity, substract linguistic capability - et voilà - you have your Bush! Pathetic - such a fanboy.

How does a drop out like Hannity merit debating anybody with a J.D.?

He infuriates me.

The audience and mediator completely ruined this question period - by the way, I noticed that the mediator only interrupted the audience once or twice when they were shouting over Anderson, but about 10 times when they were shouting over Hannity. I almost stopped watching because Anderson couldn't make it through 2 sentences without getting heckled by a bunch of inbreds. Also, I thought each person had a minute for his question or answer - that mediator was interrupting Anderson after less than 2 sentences almost every time, mind you, he did interrupt Hannity a couple times too. Anyways, he should've let both guys provide the background information they wanted to, and if the background info and question exceeded one minute, big deal. He completely ruined the flow of the question period, and Hannity knew that Anderson wouldn't get much time to respond, so he throw a lot of personal attacks in, knowing that if he threw enough shit on Anderson, he wouldn't have enough time to scrape it all off.

I think both Hannity and Anderson should've told their respective crowds to shut up and let the other speak, and I agree with whoever said they should've started kicking people out.

Either way, Hannity came off looking the better man after the 2 question periods, and I thought he made some good points though I still don't agree with his position.

I think both sides operated poorly, but I think that Hannity was disgusting. I like how Norm says criticize ideas not people all Hannity did was criticize people. Everyone at the debate came off poorly.
