How are the questions for Hannity and the questions for Rocky, fair and balanced?
"Was there any validity in what Hannity was saying?"
What kind of stupid question is that, post debate? The same questions shoulda been made to hannity
You must have memory loss, Soypower, because he asked Hannity basically the same question:
"What about the mayor's points? Do you think he said anything that had a lot of validity to it at all?"
In any case, the logic Hannity uses when answering that first question is the same mindless demagoguery used by most conservatives - the morale of the troops is ALREADY low, and they haven't been getting the body and vehicle armor they've needed for the last 4 years anyways. His mindset is basically: "we're already there, what's done is done, now everyone has to get behind the president and support the troops, or else present an alternative MILITARY solution, and anyone who doesn't is helping the enemy."
There are political solutions being proposed that involve a much smaller military force or none at all, but of course, anything other than a military victory is the talk of the enemy and can't be accepted.
"Was there any validity in what Hannity was saying?"
"This is the same speech... but it's missing that moral strength...."
Hannity follows the faith-based logic: The facts are not relevant because we are on the side of the gods, we are on the side of the troopers, we are on the side of the U.S. Indeed, "my country right or wrong" puts too fine a point on it -- "Because it's my side it must be right," that's what they think.
Actually, they don't think.... That's what they assert?
We can paraphrase everything Hannity said in this debate in one sentence:
"It's not WHAT Rocky and other liberals are saying that I have a problem with; it's THAT they're saying it."
What did he spit in the mug right before he started the interview? Is he chewing tabacco?
