Fox Shenanigans?
Did Fox pull a fast one? I was watching the debate a second time with my son Chris and he pointed out that when the picture of Saddam's statue was flashed on the screen during a Hannity answer to a Rocky question, the clip of the statue no longer showed live on the Fox logo. A quick check of all the other clips show either that they are obviously live on stage or if it shows the entire graphic it is always labeled as live. This instance is an exception. Did the local Fox affiliate unfairly help their guy with this clip. The clip I posted shows an example of the usual live Fox logo during an earlier clip. It is missing from the Saddam clip. Perhaps I'm missing something, or is Fox using their usual standards of 'fair and balanced?'

Although FOX is a joke, I think this speaks more to their incompetence than anything intentional. If you look at the first Rocky clib below they pop the live banner on and off when the images contain no live content. I think the cases where they didn't was when the hamster fell asleep at the wheel. Great clips though - Hannity is always cringeworthy.
I'm not sure I get it. Are the other "LIVE" clips they show are part of the debate? Whereas the statue clip was a little something thrown in by FOX to help the case of their Republican friend?
Also: "Liberator", "Occupier", you can argue semantics all you want, but they are still the same men with guns, killing and getting killed, with no end in sight.
I too am missing the question you've raised. No matter, the clip of Hannity shows that the addition of a halo arond his head wouldn't make him any less of a shit. Has it occured to this douchebag that what he "believes", or even what Rocky "believes" about whether Americans are liberators or occupiers doesn't much matter. The US conducted a war of aggression (euphemism = preemptive defense) and 78% of Iraqis believe we are occupiers.
Exactly the statue clip was during a segment when Hannity was answering questions from Rocky. Now they could use the screens in the hall to display things but this appeared to me to come from Fox. Since it is an unscripted segment the questionis how to explain it.
Of course you are right about this, Norm. Still, can you think of a more fair and balanced presentation from Fox in the last 5 years?
I thought they did this several times. (They even showed that same clip earlier)
It seems like just a mistake to me rather than another "FOX shenanigan" :)
This isn't fox's conspiring, it's just because the clip wasn't happening live, it was added in later, but Hannity had that clip playing the whole time. They did it for Rocky too. I think you're a little paranoid.
