too funny. But also very sad, is the gun constituency really so large that a politician has to lie? And are gun owners really so shallow that they would not vote for a man simply because he does not own a gun?

IT reminds me of an Adam Sandler skit. The one with the cult and trying to get the girl in the cult and asking his friend to join with him...lmao...funny stuff...but so, very sad.

What is it with politicians -- Republican or Democrat -- having to prove what experienced hunters they are? They're like adolescent boys lying about their sexual exploits rather than admit their virginity. It's pathetic.

That is funny, but you know what makes me mad about this whole thing, I guess this goes along with what aglee said, its just that a conservative cant have one liberal view and still be elected, as a rebublican. Im sure it goes both ways, but this is just a good conservative example.

Everytime I have a discussion with NRA zombies about gun control, they keep on making the point that guns are needed to protect the constitution. I keep on reminding them that the bill of right has been shredded and I failed to see them NRA militias on the street protecting our bill of rights. Some of them, can't even recite me all articles of the constitution nor amendments (besides the 2n), much less tell me what the bill of rights is about. How can one claim to defend with his/her life something he knows very little about.

Unfortunatedly, whenver they make the point that an armed population would make everyone more "polite," I can point at Iraq. That is an example of an armed population, I just fail to see the explosion of politeness.

The pro-gun lobby needs to be outlawed, Viagra nowadays can take care of their sexual shortcommings.

This show is a good example of why we never seem to address issues that matter; we are too busy talking about idiotic shit like this. This round table of horses asses only contributes to the stalemate in American politics. Here is what we should be talking about: Health care, health care, health care, and health care. We are told that we should be afraid of terrorism but most of us are more fearful of a hospital bill.

Exactly, leftbanker.

Russert is capable of being a serious person. Doesn't he feel a bit stupid reviewing the tough investigative work on whether a presidential candidate has hunted or not? I guess everyone simply accepts that it's normal and reasonable that being a hunter is a big plus for a presidential candidate. Ah, but did he really hunt with an assault rifle, or a 9mm pistol?--that's the real question!

Why not ask him if he's an avid comic book collector, how much he knows about the NFL, or what his chess rating is? I guess when you're an empty shell of a candidate, your hobbies become very very important.

Willard Mitt is a fraud. FRAUD.

Take it from a Bostonian.

I happen to believe civilians should have the right to own firearms, and I find the bickering over gun legislation tiresome and counterproductive. Gun registration should be enforced, and let's leave it at that.

I think there are a lot of other less contentious issues that could be worked on in order to curtail needless death. And, I submit that it would be more productive to focus on the violent criminal, and less on what weapon they choose to use.

I actually don't even think the point is about the gun or hunting - it's that he's willing to make anything up to please his voters and get himself elected. I don't think anyone has brought up the discussion of gun control with this clip.

javi.mahai did. I felt like throwing my $0.02 in.

In addendum:

I also submit that Republicans are pro-gun-rights simply to be contrary to the Dems. On almost all other issues they appear to take stances against individual freedoms. They certainly aren't pro-Habeas-Corpus.

I am aware of that. But I believe it unlikely that anyone here will argue at this point that Mitt Romney is not a total douchebag.

What is wrong with America? Politicians have to tell everyone that they killed animals in order to have support? That would discourage me from voting for a politician.

close that satiricalpolitical link, Norm. Vid is not working.

Pathetic, pathetic, pathetic. The moron candidates kiss up to the moron single-issue voters. The moron media investigates and the moron talking heads discuss it all. This kind of crap is so discouraging.

BTW, Norm - Jamey is right. I could only see the clip after going to the comments because it keeps rolling over to the Satirical Report link.
