Last night's performance of INVINCIBLE SUMMER was disrupted when eighty seven members of a Christian group walked out of the show en masse, and chose to physically attack my work by pouring water on and destroying the original of the show outline.t/adam

Mike Daisey expressed much more tolerance than I would have had I'm afraid, especially towards the water vandal, which was probably for the better.
Mike Daisey, thank you.
He made a joke about doing it with Paris Hilton and he's surprised the Christians got upset?
This is exactly the issues I have with religions/religious people. They do not have the right to decide what others can see, hear and do yet they think they do.
No, he is surprised that they are there in the first place, and choosing to be there believe they have the right to dictate what others should or should not see.
Dar is right, that is the problem with religion they believe they have the right to decide for others.
Children of the corn.
That was creepy.
Daisey handled it well and showed much more class than the Christian zombies.
It had nothing to do with what he said. It was clearly a setup.
A kind of negative flash-mob. Basically you have a large number walk out to give the impression the show is bad.
They might of gotten away with it if they hadn't of thrown the water on his desk.
Someone on the original Youtube post is claiming this was not a Christian thing at all... and not pre-planned. Just a choir director afraid for his job. The story seems to be seconded by another, claiming a write-up in a newsletter.
The conversation is ongoing. In this case, the religious characterization of the affair might be unwarranted. The asshole who poured the water was a chaperone, if this story bears out. (and the choir director has apparently apologized). The students were just being normal high school sheep, being told what to do. We'll see.

RE:How To Talk To a Climate Skeptic
Wait, so religious skeptic = good, but man-made global warming skeptic = bad? Oh, I'm so confused...
