I think they should have prepared some answers for this routine. Usually I'm a boisterous supporter of Caliendo, but this seemed pretty weak. I've seen better days.

I think that was the point, Erick. Whenever Bush is speaking off the cuff he comes off completely fucking clueless. My only criticism here is Caliendo’s Bush seemed too intelligent.

Don't think I've ever heard of, nor seen Caliendo before, but that was damn good. I mean, he doesn't look anything at all like the shrub, but he still managed to do a great impression -- that's impressive. His facial expressions, and his mannerisms are great -- but his voice is absolutely perfect.

Caliendo is a standup comedian. He can make Bush look stupid, but still make it funny. Where was the funny in this? He repeated is "-ifide" and "-icade" jokes throughout the show having no other material whatsoever. He's done better. Look at the link I provided above.

Let me say this--"I'm the dissenter here." It's a spot-on imitation, but I'm getting tired of jokes about what a dolt Bush is. Where's the satire on his policies, a la Colbert's evisceration at the Press Corps dinner? This guy plays it so safe by merely imitating Bush's mannerisms. How about some barbs on his barbarisms?

Barbarisms… that is very good!
