Countdown w/Keith Olbermann

I'm so proud!
I knew he was way much on the slow side but didn't realize just how confused his thinking is. This man lives almost exclusively inside his own head and it's a very disordered place to live.
That's the president of the US of A. Damn.
Well, the guy is reasonably funny - Just a shame he did not apply for some stand up instead...
Nah, he could never make it in stand up. It takes a quick response to what is actually coming at you. As stand up, he's a one trick pony without a really good straight man. If he weren't the president, you wouldn't want to watch it for more than a couple of minutes.
It's only funny if it's a really good act and I mean a really good act. For real it's really black humour, almost fox hole humour. Shudder.
Ugh, I could say lots of things about what I see and hear in this video.
But there is really nothing left to be said about this man, and much to be done.
Without family money he'd be the underachieving drunk he really is, working a low-wage job and moving a lot to avoid paying back child-support.
As it is he will be remembered as the most unqualified and ignorant president in US history…who was completely controlled by his VP and a small band of neo-conservative thugs - and didn't have the sense to know it.
I would never have thought that in my lifetime there would be any president more stupid than Reagan, but there he is folks!
Maybe Bush thought if he goes to a high school the students would be easier to convince than adults. Well, that one kid asking the question about military readiness proved that wrong.
Maybe his next stop will be younger kids. Oh wait, when he did that nearly 3,000 people died.
He really is a sad, sad man. That last statement he made makes me think about how much concern he has for his legacy, yet he has absolutely no comprehension of what is going on in reality right now. It's mind-boggling.
I've typed out, and deleted half a dozen messages here -- I can't find the words the express my disbelief and -- I dunno, despair -- that this CREATURE could end up being in the position he is...
I would consider it severe professional misconduct to allow this babbling buffoon to manage a fucking McDonalds. And here he is, Mr. President. WTF?! I don't get it.
It's almost as if I can understand why people turn to something so illogical and insane, as religion -- to try make some sense and reason of it all -- no matter how magical and metaphysical it all is. Because this shit just doesn't make any sense at all...
The only thing I've ever heard, that seemed to make a little bit of sense, is Kurt Vonnegut's phrase -- "Life is mostly random."
When he was talking about the border issue, I dearly hope he didn't almost say Spain... twice...
That, and even I understood the premise behind the first question about troop readiness, even though I hadn't heard of it before, and were I in power I would at least attempt to answer.
If George W. Bush doesn't know the meaning of a question, he should ask for help.

...Crap. Sorry about the triple-post. I received an error when I hit the post button and tried again on the off chance it worked.
Apparently all too well. <.<
You guys elected him? Twice?
Well I may not like our Tony Blair, but at least he's not a misinformed, ill-educated idiot.
I was listening for the malapropism Olbermann mentioned but didn't hear one. What was it?
Compare the difference here with someone who knows how to express himself and even understands what he is talking about.
Bill Clinton speaking at TED.

It's nice to see Bush hasn't learned a damn thing about not making an ass of himself.
BTW, I think when he said he didn't know what the guy was talking about, he meant he didn't know about the 50% law. It was an ignorance flub, not a comprehension flub.
Trust me, this is a really really good thing. Bush's lack of intelligence will ensure that our next president will have a surplus of smarts and a uncompromising sense of charisma. Voters tend to have a "respond to the previous administration that let you down by voting for the complete opposite" mentality. With Bush spouting out the silliest of aphorisms and utter wholesale nonsense while attempting to say something incisive, he will help his antithesis, Barack Obama, more than any TV commercials ever could.
If nothing else, everyone here should realize that Bush is capable of things that we are not: an optimistic and blind indifference and willful ignorance. If you believe in the "Ignorance is Bliss" maxim, you may realize that Bush is, in fact, in an extremely enviable position -- he's quite possibly the happiest man alive.
If they're still writing about 1, 43 doesn't have to worry about it. They write about Hitler, it doesn't make his legacy any better. "They" still write about Napoleon, Machiavelli, Sun Tzi, Attila the Hun, it doesn't better their legacy. Stupid f*cker.
I hope that the people in the a chicken plucking factories, or indeed whatever you do really call them, know what he was talking about because I don't have a clue... Was he trying to be funny?
Pelosi-Murtha '07.
Come on, Dick and Georgie have had more than enough time, let's have the #3 and her mentor in the White House.
Just when you don't this man can be any more embarrassing...Although the fact that he actually seemed to be working this crowd with his humor was possibly more disturbing.
Can't the bush admin get the man some planted questioners for his off-script Q and A?? What's with them? (yes, sarc 3)
Finally, there's plenty to write about George #1. #43 - I think that can be summed up in one small tome.
bernarda, thanks for the link of Clinton. I mean, what a difference in styles. One can talk without thinking and the other can't talk and can't think.
I cannot believe 1/2 of Americans voted for this guy. I just have to think there was something funny going on with the votes. Can't wait to 2009!
Oh, I actually meant my last post as a compliment to Clinton. He doesn't have to worry to much about thinking because he knows what he is talking about.
I couldn't have said it any better Dubya! You are the master of the metaphor!
Bush didn't have half of America vote for him, he got half the votes. Only about half of America even voted, so Bush got about 25% of American's to vote for him. That's assuming perfect voter regularity, which with all the reported problems with the electronic voting machines issues as well as other irregularities (especially in Florida and Ohio, in 2000 AND 2004) is highly questionable.
I say when half your population consistently boycotts your elections, there is something seriously wrong with your democracy.
It's ALL about making sure that the next generation has ABSOLUTELY ZERO FAITH in government or society or ANYTHING (except Jesus).
Fuck it, I have to vote for American Idol...See ya.
When is this nightmare finally over...?
