Reminds me of this stunt Bush does: he'll peer around, look under his podium, and quip, "Where are those weapons of mass destruction?" I first read about him doing this in front of a bunch of his "elite base" millionaire pals, I think it was, like some sort of inside joke. But apparently he has even done this in more public settings. He started a war that has racked up thousands and thousands of casualties, and he jokes about it.

That's the thing that really bugs me about these fuckers: They are swaggering simpletons, but they are not stupid enough to lie or outright incriminate themselves, and they are smart enough to play the "stupid card" for all its worth.

I don't see the difference. It's a flat out lie that he can't remember why these judges were fired, you just can't prove that it's a lie. In fact, I find this whole "I don't recall" sticked much more offensive because he honestly thinks that Congress and the American people are just that stupid.

I love weekend update. I think it may have been best these recent years with Tina Fey & Amy Poehler 2004-2006 I was also a fan of Dennis Miller 85-91 (longest run) & Norm McDonald 94-97 Jane Curtin & Dan Aykroyd are probably best remembered of the bygone teams 77-78. I’ve never really liked Seth Meyers, not because he’s not funny, just a personality thing, I guess.

I’d love it if Norm would regularly post weekend update in full or in part.
