I caught that this morning on MSNBC -- guilty on four out of five charges:
Obstruction of justice: Guilty
Lying to the FBI about Russert: Guilty
Lying to the Grand Jury about Russert: Guilty
Lying to the FBI about Cooper: Not guilty
Lying to the Grand Jury about Cooper: Guilty
Then I flipped over to Fox News, and their ticker said:
Scooter Libby found Not Guilty of lying to the FBI
I love me some of that Fox News, I really doooooooo...
Now where'd I put that bong?
Is Armitage next?
I. Lewis fought the law and the law won.
Days like these make one wish they watched TV!
Hooray!
when you find it Dzwonka, pass it here.
re: Dzwonka's tuning in to Fox News: simply amazing.
Another embarrassing scandal at the highest levels of government, another day.

...Kinda brilliant, from americablog.
FOX news is responsible for the fact that the majority of Americans were suckered into accepting the invasion of Iraq, hook line and sinker, and at the same time CNN and MSNBC fell into lockstep. FOX news moreso, and CNN and MSNBC less so, continue to rubber stamp anything that the Bush administration does. Sad. Any American who is familiar with the news from other countries quickly realizes how the U.S. is the only country whose news stations only reports news from the point of view of our own country. All of the expats who live here are confounded that the U.S. television news does not report what is going on around the rest of the world, except for perhaps a little news bite here and there.
I even got caught up in believing that our country was doing the right thing and that we were the good guys for awhile at the beginning. I didn't have the Internet at that time and I was dealing with an illness which kept me from having the energy and wherewithall to read. My friends who were still capable of reading and being rational thought I was crazy. Eventually, I listened to them and found the energy to read what the rest of the world was talking about and quickly realized how the propaganda on FOX news was warping my sense of reality.
Jo Ann: I don't think there is such a thing as a "good war" -- conflicts can always be resolved without bloodshed. I am very wary of anyone in high office suggesting that we must go to war over any issue, and it sounds like you should be too.
To bring the discussion into more human terms, if Bob on the other side of town is my sworn enemy, we need to try to resolve our differences without violence. If I find out that Bob owns a gun, that shouldn't be reason enough for me to go shoot him. Yet that is exactly what our "department of defense" is all about. We kill people pre-emptively so that they can't kill us later. Except that by doing that the conflict escalates and the people that we've sent over there get killed too, resulting in more death than if we had tried to settle matters diplomatically.
Barry: that video makes a lot more sense in the context of the video it's in response to (which I had not seen), but in hindsight I wish that I had not watched it (the Eminem video); quite disturbing.
Fox news does this on purpose I swear, all the damn time. How can they always just lie on the "news" and get away with it. Like mark foley is a democrat too? They always lie at first and try to get it stuck in peoples heads real fast, then maybe a week later backtrack, that nobody sees, no fox watchers. Uninformed bastards.
Wasn't fox news simply scrolling through all the verdicts and someone just grabbed that one verdict, and acted like the sky was falling?
Did they not see the other four? guess not.
Didn't they identify Mark Foley as a Democrat too?
Scooter is double plus good.
