Now that is good news. I'm not 65 yet, but have enjoyed a lifetime of drinking coffee and now it seems the habit will serve me well when I get "old."

Hey McCain, are you smarter than a fifth grader? (READ THIS POST!!!!)

I had not heard about the Westhusing story before. The entire story sounded damned fishy to me – even in the Texas Observer story. Apparently there is quite a controversy concerning the irregularities of the investigation. The suicide note appears to have been composed by a guy who made a snap decision – not an extremely disciplined individual.
Even if depressed, and even if suicidal, Westhusing doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would have written such a brief letter – making no specific charges and providing no specific evidence against the men he accuses of corruption. This guy graduated third in his class at West Point, is an English instructor, and leaves a hand-written note with serveral "typos" in it? Wouldn't an angry, disillusioned, guy like Westhusing want to at least make a useful condemnation of the corrupt men who induced his disillusionment?
Wow - McCain has not only sold out completely, he really appears to be mentally unhinged:
Let me find out. You know, I’m sure I’ve taken a position on [the use of condoms to help prevent HIV] in the past. I have to find out what my position was. Brian, would you find out what my position is on contraception – I’m sure I’m opposed to government spending on it, I’m sure I support the president’s policies on it.
He sure that he had a "position" on it, but doesn't know what it was? Straight talk? Pitiful! Or perhaps he is just growing senile.
He sure that he had a "position" on it, but doesn't know what it was?
Yeah, that amazed me as much as his ignorance -- that he would ask an assistant, in front of a reporter, to look up what he thinks about something.
Man, I hate The Simpsons. But I did enjoy that clip.
Totally random: Anyone notice how The Simpsons and Family Guy have had similar themes lately? What's up with that?
