I like the anti-war rally video. Seems like it mus have been a cool event.
re: bushes' gaffe
this is ridiculous. i mean, this man, the "leader of the free world", still cant pronounce the word "nuclear", for gods' sake. give it a rest. (except when he fucks up REALLY good-then i wanna get my yucks with everyone else).
re: hobbit humans
i remember reading about this in 2004. i thought then "anyone whos' ever read "zippy the pinhead", or seen the movie "freaks", couldn't possibly think this is a microcephelac. but scientists don't get exposed to such "lowbrow" crap :) so it took them awhile to figure it out.
re: youtube footage of anti war rally
as a rock fan, musician and member of many bands over the years, i think i have a better than average ability to gauge the size of crowds, and that sure didn't look like "tens of thousands" to me. maybe the footage was taken early on. looks like fun, though. i liked the guy with the "world" between his legs. i certainly know how THAT feels.:)
Can we comment on Palestine? :-)
Hell No! :+) they are next door neighbors to you know who.
re: the Salon article you posted, certainly the country in question has a lot of work to do in making its minority community feel at home. Being a minority in a majority ethnic country, whether the US (with blacks and latinos), France (with Arabs), Germany (with Turks), Canada (with Quebecois), or Egypt (with Copts) is always a challenge. There's no excuse for comments from those who wouldn't live in the same building as the minority community. But look at what just one terrorist attack on US soil did for Americans' perception of Arabs. Now imagine those kinds of attacks several times a year for 60 years. Both sides need to do a better job of understanding each other. And when peace comes, so too will acceptance and respect.
boys...be nice.;)
How about Cyprus? or the suez canal?
too close. and those are dark skinned people there. they could be mistaken for palestinians. or sefardic jews. I want to talk about zippy the pinhead.
note: this post has been edited by onegoodmove, someone just broke a rule.
Isn't that where you know who vacations :) I'm starting to think my rule for the day precludes all post on any topic, cause as some would say you know who is everywhere.
