The Verizon audio was incredibly frustrating. How can anybody be so inept at simple math? Apparently that's not a strong point of service agents. It made me recall similar frustrating times when sales reps either misled or lied to me, and the company refused to issue a refund. Does it really take massive public humiliation to shame a company into giving you a refund or admit they're wrong? Do I really need to carry a recording device every time I talk to a salesperson?
As to the Worldnutdaily hypocrisy, I see it everywhere. Christians believe all practices offensive to them should be banned, and then state that there's nothing offensive about pushing their own beliefs on others. So frustrating....
Also, Christians tried for years to get Christmas to become a national holiday, and now there are many of them who believe that when non-Christians celebrate Christmas, they're being offensive. A cause-effect disconnect, methinks. Were they expecting that everybody who liked Christmas would suddenly turn Christian?
It's quite hard to respectfully point out your friends' hypocrisy. Mostly, they just get mad at you, especially when it touches their religion.
It's the same sort of quandary you face when talking about politics, I suppose. Those two subjects will just always be polarizing. When emotions run high, there's a stark dearth of logic.
