Norm, another grand slam for you. The "Terrorist not in the news" article is haunting. The Spitzer article in encouraging and basically you've succeeded in highlighting the most important events in our society as always.
My only complaint is that you're so good at giving me the news I'm getting lazy about finding it myself. My own problem to deal with though. Thanks so much.
I'm now able to reveal that I'm an AIG employee (though I'll be gone very soon, and that's why I can take such a risk now). So I can tell you from the trenches that Spitzer's handling of this entire thing, which goes back over 2 years, has been a nearly flawless display of government oversight. Even AIG managers and execs admit it: the investigation was clean, thorough, clear, and never a witch hunt. New York now has a competent, responsible, clear-thinking, and articulate governor. Keep your eye on this guy, everybody--maybe not 2008, but definitely 2012: this man is presidential material.
