Impressionist Week on the Late Show

I liked his presidents bit, but I'm still gonna be a Frank Caliendo nut-hugger.
My her certainly does tackle the hard ones doesn't he?
I must admit that his facial impressions were pretty good but the voice work and his easy targets wore a bit thin.
The beeping was a nice bit though.
If I didn't respect Billy West, Frank Welker, Hank Azaria, Dan Castellaneta, Harry Shearer, Charles Fleischer, Mel Blanc and others SO much then Rich Little and Fred Travalena would probably have me writing of voice actors/impressionists as arrogant putzes.
He lost me with Jack Nicholson. Feh.
holy crap. that was awful.
Travalena was great. Much better than Rich Little in my opinion.
I wish he had spent a bit more time on each president -- his Jimmy Carter was spot-on.
I also liked his Jimmy Carter best, although Rich Little's Reagan is much better. Seems they all have their special president. Jim Morris his Reagan, Frank Caliendo his Clinton and Bush jr. and Steve Bridges his Dubya. I expect we'll get to see all of them.
Next on Impressionist Week on The Late Show: Claude Monet!
Er, ahem.
He was pretty good with the facial expressions. His Rumsfeld looked right, but sounded like nobody.
this act is so dated it's terrible.
I felt myself feeling sorry for him the whole time. It seems like he was waiting for a pat on the back and a "Good game son." from his missing father figure.
OK, bad impressionists. Are we supposed to laugh at how bad they are?
I've just seen this it replayed outside the US and found it embarrassing to watch!
Surely that could have been just anyone putting on sunglasses & "pretending" to be Jack Nicholson? I got the distinct feeling that the presidents sequence only worked by being short enough for him to just say a line (or in some cases make a noise).
The Rumsfeld impression was the best of the bunch - but only cos he looked like him anyway!
The style itself was very dates
