Frank Caliendo

In my opinion the best impressionist to appear on the Letterman Show so far is Frank Caliendo You can find Frank's previous performance on Letterman here.

Late Show with Dave Letterman

Impressionist Week on the Late Show

Comments

That is an absolutely brilliant Norm MacDonald.

Heh heh heh,now we're talkin.

"Rocket Surgeon" brilliant.

Now THAT is an impressionist.

I agree, the best this week, wow! His Letterman impression is flawless. Thanks for putting these up all week, nice comedy break in my day!

That guy is amazing, and he gets better every time I see him. There's a clip somewhere on YouTube with about 20 minutes of him doing just about every impression imaginable.

perfect robin williams

That was so good, I watched it twice.

He's great. Not just the impersonations but the story that goes along with it.

Caliendo is incredible!

That was quite excelent, he's taken impressions in a whole different direction.

That guy is incredible. He gets better every time I see him. Trying to do Paul and Dave was a great touch, even though he doesn't have them completely down yet.

I am laughing so hard and at the same time burning with envy. I can barely step outside of cartoon voices when it comes to impressions. This guy is top of the line.

I TOLE YOU GUYS! You didn't believe me huh. This guy is one of the best!!!

yup. that was funny. :)

That guy is funny.

Frank's W impression is so spot on that I think it's pointless for anybody else to even try. Except for Jon Stewart of course..."heh heh heh heh".

That madden is insanely good. And I don't even watch football...

Norm, how come this video isn't available for downloading?

That was brilliant AND he didn't do Jack Nicholson, which makes it even more brilliant.

Frighteningly good. They should replace the verb "to ape" with "to caliendo".

'Except for Jon Stewart of course..."heh heh heh heh".'

It reminds me how incredibly bad Jon Stewart's Bush impression is. I think the only reason we like it is because it's funny in itself and it's very derisive of Bush. It's really not even close, and yet it's likely the most-performed impression of a president ever.

No download, well there is now. I'm testing a new blogging tool and don't have all my snippets set up yet.

Jeez dende, Stewart's impression is not meant to be spot on, it's a laff.

It's like putting on a high voice and upperclass English accent to make fun of Queen Lizzy 2 or doing a generic Russian or Italian voice to help perpeutuate the sterotype that they're all mobsters or the ever hilarious Old Jewish man sterotype.

Oy vey, get a sense of humour why don't ye, ye meshuggenuh.

He's fantastic... I love that he does impressions of people no one ever does impressions of... Norm Macdonald and Jeff Goldblum? Brilliant!

what's the comic genius of impressions, seriously? Wow if I record Robin Williams and play it on my ipod it sounds exactly like Robin Williams.

Anony, have you heard of Dan Castellaneta? Seth McFarlane? Mel Blanc? Like the guys that guest-starred on Letterman this week, they make a living off of acting and goofy voices. If that doesn't do it for you , try to warp your throat and tongue to match the voice used for Gollum, SpongeBob or Kermit the Frog. It's fun as hell if you can get it right.

eh... :\

I didn't like it..

I liked the guy on Thursday better

Frank is definitely the man. If you really want to laugh your ass off, just go to his website and download his Jim Rome impression. It's in two different files. I LOVE his Al Pacino impression...."Na na, na na frickin' boo boo!!!"

Uh, I hate it when you hear the same jokes over and over again, though the Bush stuff is new (and brilliant).
