Yes, Chris, we knew you knew that Bush was a lying wacko and that Woodward is more than a little "tardy". But why didn't you say something when it mattered? Why did you join the "grown up" and "manly" chorus and help silence all opposition to the war? You're a little tardy yourself, you know.

I was HOPING you caught this! Thanks for posting.

I'm sorry but it's a little late for Matthews and Woodward to grow some cojones; they should have started about 6 years ago when Bush first came into the picture. They both were enthusiastic cheerleaders for the war in the beginning. Why is it that most of us knew that Iraq would be a disaster? Did we have secret intelligence that we kept from the president? Oh, I remember, we have common sense and know the difference between shiite and sunni (among other arcane facts).

Great video!
IT makes me uncomfortable when a guest comes on and sits with their back to the last guest. A bit rude me thinks.
Anyway you have to wonder why when Chris said Woodward was reporting stuff people already knew about Bush, why didnt he report it at the time?

I'm going to have to add "goo trail" to the list of phrases I never, ever want to hear again.
I don't know whether to snort coffee out my nose or vomit. Christ I hope not both.

Yeah, I think turning your back to another guest is quite rude.
I'm an alcoholic, but Wanda is spot on. You don't have a drink or better yet - buy Girl Scout cookies, and suddenly you turn into a pedophile.

Anyone else think Leno's laugh sounds like a barking seal?

Foley was likely forced by his GOP superiors to blame it on the drink. It's a common Washington method of getting the perpetrator away from the scene of the crime and away from nosy reporters. This is a frenzy right now, and if Foley were available for questioning he might start pulling the GOP leadership down the river with him. There is absolutely no other reason why he would check into a rehab clinic right now.

Matthews claimed on Don Imus that he was against the war from the beginning. And yet right after the "Mission Accomplished" aircraft carrier landing, he said:
"He won the war. He was an effective commander. Everybody recognizes that, I believe, except a few critics. ... He looks for real. ... [H]e didn't fight in a war, but he looks like he does. ... We're proud of our president. ... Women like a guy who's president. Check it out. The women like this war. I think we like having a hero as our president."
Since then, Matthews has been more vocal about the war, coming out against it. But rather than blame it on Bush he blames it on the Democrats. The liberal media is so afraid of being called liberal, that they act as if Bush is some force of nature without moral responsibility. If Bush did anything wrong, he seems to think, it was the Democrats' job to stop him.
Matthews knows and understands how politics works (unlike say, Bill Maher), but I've never once seen him really take a stand on anything real. I was against this war from the beginning, and I'm proud to say it. Unlike Matthews and no less than Bob frickin Woodward, who were totally sucked in by this moron.

This has been brought up before, but doesn't it bother you to hear absolutely no reaction from Leno's crowd until the applause call? Their silence is both deafening and indicative of just how clingy some among them are.

at least his closer was 100% correct:
"every vote counts. and if you want this government in total control of bush, vote republican; if you want a little leash on the guy, vote the other way."

It was not my intent to leave a comment, but I cannot abide that little sychophant. Most everything that needs to said has allready been penned, so I will leave a couple of scribblings written some time ago.
Tweety my nerves how you do them grate The way of the lapdog is normally castrate. Your sweetheart is tanking Will this stop you wanking Or forever and ever will you yearn to felate.
Hardball is a big misnomer, Tweety is a Whitehouse gofer. One look at George Bush, On knees he do rush. Oh daddy please let me play with your big soldier.

It is rude, but he always seems really nervous on these late night talk shows .. so I do not think it was done on with malice.
