Thank you, thank you, thank you. Those billboards are teh annoying.
I spotted the "Clout" one Pon a recent trip "home" to Utah - that's the one that boasts of Hatch's "1. Power. 2.Pull. 3. Influence."
Funny, here in Illinois, we define "Clout" as
Every time I see a photo of Orrin, I expect to see his head explode, for whatever reason!
...good golly I hate those things. I am sooooo sick of them.
And then to read today (Sunday) our newspaper endorses Orrin over Pete. Why? Because, they say, Orrin can use his seniority to our (Utahns) advantage.
Oh really? His political party echoed the very same arguments 6 years ago… Has Mr. Hatch really done anything for Utah in the last 6 years?
Didn’t think so.
Please, people of Utah, get some new, refreshingly younger and unflagging (pun intended) vigor to represent you in Washington, D.C. Vote for Pete Ashdown.
Hi - Thank you! I had come up with a few that I posted on my blog last week:
http://deesings.livejournal.com/395429.html
I hope our general public of Utah understands how badly we've been treated in the past. Orrin hasn't done anything for us ... he just hasn't.
And, considering he's wealthy and has only live in Utah legitimately for... oh 4 years maybe? He doesn't mirror the interests of 90% of the population. If he gets re-elected, I will not be represented.
Regarding Orrin Hatch, from the Deseret News:
"Sen. Orrin Hatch, a former LDS bishop who does not drink, has taken more money from wine, beer and liquor groups this year than any other congressional candidate."
Senator Hatch is just another guy with weak morals who puts on a front of strength and clout. If this is clout, I think it should be redefined as morally bankrupt.
