Well, my fellow OneGoodMovers, hate to pull the snob thing here but... I saw that "opera" in London two years ago. As a failed playwright - who hates "musicals" - I can tell you that it sucked. What a crock of stage krapp. I mean, come on, Jesus in diapers... David Sole was pretty good as Jerry though. Anyone remember David in the original TV show Starsky & Hutch? Wait, how old am I?

Well yes. I can see some small advantage of a vacuous goddess with a pretty face over one with an old gnarly bearded face with the blood thirsty eyes. Paris on the other hand appears to have an entirely different thirst.

But, I'm not big on the snake part. :)

I don't know what it means to say that the protests are "manufactured." She says that they weren't spontaneous, but that doesn't mean the people protesting didn't earnestly believe what they were saying. If any protest which weren't 'spontaneous' (meaning not organized by some central committee, I guess) were labelled as "manufactured", then certainly all the anti-war protests around the globe in the last few years have been manufactured...

What she's saying at the start is pretty specious.

didnt she say the riots had been manufactured by the clerics, who found the cartoons blasphemous, who then riled up the people, more so than they wouldve been..? i think thats what she said, or meant.
