Mistake After Mistake After Mistake

Senator Mary Landrieu (D) Louisiana on Boneheaded Republicans

In light of the rantings that went on for 30 minutes by two colleagues from the other side, I'd like to state for the record that America is not tired of fighting terrorism; America is tired of the wrongheaded and boneheaded leadership of the Republican party that has sent six and a half billion a month to Iraq while the front line was Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia. That led this country to attack Saddam Hussein, when we were attacked by Osama bin Laden. Who captured a man who did not attack the country and let loose a man that did. Americans are tired of boneheaded Republican leadership that alienates our allies when we need them the most. Americans are most certainly tired of leadership that despite documenting mistake after mistake after mistake, even of their own party admitting mistakes, never admit they do anything wrong. That's the kind of leadership Americans are tired of." I'm not going to sit here as a Democrat and let the Republican leadership come to the floor and talk about Democrats not making us safe. They're the ones in charge and Osama bin Laden is still at loose—Senator Mary Landrieu (D) Louisiana

Good for Senator Landrieu! I’m sick of hearing neocons say that: “Democrats don’t have a plan”. Well, what has happened to America and the world while the GOP plans have been implemented? Here is the Democrats 6 point plan: http://www.democrats.org/agenda.html

Every once in a while a democrat speaks from the heart and i think "there you go! you can do it!" and then they melt back to mush. Can they please package that short little speech and run it all over the country. It said exactly why no one except a bonehead should vote Republican.

After Rocky Anderson, another Democrat finally waking up. Let's hope they will start moving now!

Here is Senator Mary Landrieu's website: http://landrieu.senate.gov/hrt/index.cfm

You can send her a little message.

Right-O. "O" for Osama. It's the Osama stupid! There are three wars that "we" are juggling: the war on terrifiers, the war on Afghanistan, and the war on Iraq. Only tangentally related to any of these is the war on bin Laden. A new Mantra for the benefit of those dense voters might be: It's the Osama stupid!

This is what the dems have been needing to say out loud for a while. Kudos to Sen. Landrieu for having real balls. Id vote for her anyday.

It almost seems like nowadays politicians of both parties are the same. The same wishy-washy opnions, the same botox injected forheads, the same crooked smiles, the same fear of saying what they really think bc they are afraid of losing votes or endorsements. The difference between the Democrats and the Republicans is like choosing between Pepsi or Diet coke.

Nice to hear some genuine truthiness ~Charlie

How unpatriotic of her.

How dare she not support our troops.

UnAmerican Attitudes like hers are what the Nazis take control of Europe.

It disgusts me that she doesn't support our President at a time of war.

The Democrats are such opportunists; they are weakening America with their partisan sniping.

Excellent. I wonder if she was making a reference to George Bush being a member of Skull & Bones secret society at yale. Probably not though, because John Kerry was also a member, so that 'Bonehead' term would have to apply to her parties leadership as well if that were the case.

I think she was just making a reference to George Bush being a moron. ;-)

Quite nice, just that she has troubles with pauses.

And please clean the woody trolls away how pathetic.

Bob, your barely coherent post was tongue in cheek, right?

Kudo's to you Senator Mary Landrieu from Louisiana for speaking up against the Republicans in this Congress and the President of the United States. As far as I am concerned the Republican Party has done nothing to make this country better and has ruined our status in the World among Nations and has made us more vulnerable to attacks both overseas and again in this country. Since George W. Bush was Elected President our prestege in the world has dropped to an all time low and i believe that the actions this President has taken since he's been in office has been the cause of this. He is spending billions on this war in Irag and has spent nearly nothing in going after Osama Bin Laden if he had sent all our troops to Afghanistan to capture Osama Bin Laden the Americans would not be so angry about the war but instead he went after Saddam Hussein which was no threat to anyone i9ncludi9ng the countries that surround Iraq and let the Bib Laden family out of this country after 9-11 when all the airlines were grounded here. I don't think this President wants to catch Osama Bin Laden at all and he has used him as ruse to go to war so that he and Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and Rice the Secretary of States can make billions off of the Am erican Taxpayers. The Republicans have not shown any care for our veterans in the way the budgets have been passed for the past 25 years or any care about veterans and how they are able to get along with life after having served their country in war. Limited funding for PTSD and Brain Injured soldiers and no treatment for soldiers from World War II through until 1980 for Vietnam Veterans for PTSD.

Unfortunately, she'll be campaigning for Joe "stay-the-course" Lieberman in my state of Connecticut tomorrow.

Exactly when did the amnesia thing set in?

You know what you ought to be asking yourself? Wonder if our government is looking into Bin laden having a double. I'm guessing our country carries doubles in order to safeguard our president. I wouldn't put it past them to do a similar.
