Guess FOX forgot to edit this one.
i totally didn't notice that part..the eff bomb...neither did any of my friends
It's a show built entirely around shock value and appealing to the absolute lowest common denominator (read: frat boys).
Fox probably did it on purpose to try to boost sagging interest in the show. I mean, how many times can one of the characters break wind or say "I don't like black people" before even the stupidest Sigma Cum Loudly jock stops laughing and spitting up Miller High Life?
My understanding is that Fox missed it only in some markets.
Family guy isn't as funny as it used to be. American Dad is where it's at. Anyway, that was an excellent scene. I don't think the "fucking" made to my market, but the "Yeah, Rumsfeld" is the best part.
FAMILY GUY still rules :D
I just had a glimpse of a world where people didn't get their panties all in a bundle over so-called "foul" language on public broadcasts. And it was beautiful.
wipes tear
I didn't get the "fucking" part in my area, though it was rather obvious.
I hear this was ripped from the airing in Canada, NOT the USA. And, apparently, it's legal in Canada. I guess they've one up'd us again!
yeah it was definitly edited in my area, but it was still funny.
I'm in Canada, and it was censored in the Western market anyway. "Fuck" doesn't get censored all the time, as CTV will air comedy shows and HBO shows as well and do little to no censoring.
I <3 Canada.
In Canada you can show a bare breast on public TV, but not a brutal gangland-style execution. What kind of warped priorities are those?!? My kid might see that breast!
Yeah man, it's legal here in New Zealand too. What a country - we just had a completely legal topless pornstar march down our biggest city's main street.
@Anonymous - you sure are a killjoy, matey. Besides, there are some places in the world where swear words on television aren't considered offensive or shocking when they're not directed at you.
I'm sorry to say that, but that's exactly how we(here in Europe) think Americans are. Are people like that a cliche? Are they a minority? Im saying this and I guess its obviously offensive to you but its not my intention.
What I want to ask is, are americans aware that this is how other countries think Americans are? I write this not because I want to upset anyone. I write this because I was surprised that no one made comments about the American cliche. Im not American but I feel curious about how americans see themselves.//Sorry for the grammar//
"What I want to ask is, are americans aware that this is how other countries think Americans are?"
I'm certainly aware that countries around the world view us in a not so flattering way -- though what I picture is probably wildly off the mark (hopefully I'm picturing it too badly, but I seriously doubt it goes that way).
And, yes, we know it's a cliche. That's why many were saying Family Guy is losing interest.
That is how Americans view "Merkins".
Unfortunately, about 40% of Americans are "Merkins". Nearly all of them are Republicans, too.
I found this bit funny, but I don't watch alot of TV so I havn't bombarded myself with the Family Guy to the point that I am bored of it.
Are all Americans like this? I'd have to say no, but I will have to say that these loud mouth, SUV driving, I deserve it I pay my taxes A-holes are the fatty oil that floats to the top of the "melting pot" of the USA that are hard to ignore.
Unfortunatly Canada has them too, we just don't let them on TV.
"I'm sorry to say that, but that's exactly how we(here in Europe) think Americans are."
Isn't that funny? If I saw something that was so obviously a parody that it would take a particularly dim-witted or pernicious individual to mistake it for reality, and I judged a whole people by it, I would be considered a racist. Guess that's what you get for being just a dumb 'merican, right?
Do you guys bathe, by the way? Cos I saw Blackadder. Isn't that reality? YEE-HAW! OIL! OIL!
of course not all americans are like that, but there are some, and thats the joke.
Those animals might be "fucking" funny but Family Guy sure isn't. Should've stayed cancelled.
This doesn't really mean much, but did anyone else notice how the Hummer first merged left before smashing the car in the lane on the right?
Futurama is where it's at.
Also, MDPrime, good eye!
