I wish there was someone with his cojones and vision currently in politics.
Hey, can you get as much of that interview on the site tomorrow ? If you could, i'd appreciate.
Man, would love to see this in its entirety! Bill should just say; “Listen, I was doing my job, I was trying to round up support from the Republican controlled congress from ’96 to 2000 to focus our efforts on eliminating Bin Laden and al Qaeda but all you wanted to talk about was my blow jobs!
here here. I don't understand how people complained about his arrogance and then loved "the smirk." I'm glad Clinton gets to argue out in the open now.
I just read the Think Progress transcript! Damn, that was good! Way to go Bill Clinton! OGM readers, check it out! I would be shocked if this actually airs in its entirety. Clinton says:
"All of President Bush’s neocons claimed that I was too obsessed with finding Bin Laden when they didn’t have a single meeting about Bin Laden for the nine months after I left office. All the right wingers who now say that I didn’t do enough said that I did too much. Same people."
I’m sure we all remember during “Monica-Gate” (A grown man getting a blow job from a consenting adult. Much ado about nothing!) that the neocons were complaining that Clinton had made up the Bin Laden threat to distract us from what’s was really important…HIS SINS! And of course here come the election time rumors of Bin Laden’s death again. These people suck.
Okay, but to be fair and balanced, now that Bush has been in office/on farm for what seems like one Hell of an eternity, we have to remember a certain something that we have probably long since forgotten, which is that this is an interview between a Rhodes Scholar with an absolutely incredible memory for detail and a news reporter who is the son of a news reporter (i.e., doesn't reason; relays). In other words, in this interview between a politician and a reporter, the politician is actually the smarter of the two! No contest, folks.

Bill is obviously great. But one reason he sounds so clear and forceful now about terrorism and Iraq is because he has a good record to refer to. It's easier to have been a Democrat with power, who used it to fight terrorism, than to be a Democrat who has taken one of the several opposition stances over the last six years. For those who think it's better to lose and enjoy the ability to take pot-shots, look at the difference between Clinton and Kerry. They both have roughly the same approach to foreign policy, but one has a concrete record of policies, the other just has a bunch of senate votes.
That's odd for Fox News to send a scrub to interview Clinton. You'd think they'd send an assassin-type "journalist" to try and tear the guy down.
I always feel uncomfortable when Democrats brandish war talk machismo and parade pervasive predilictions toward "killing" as though they must do so to compete with the opposing party. This is one of the reasons why the 2004 Presidential Election was such a failure for democracy: there were no pro peace candidates to vote into office, just two version of the same war-mongering.
"The 'War on Terrorism' is the biggest lie in U.S. history." -(Economics Professor Michel Chossudovsky)
Boss Foxx: But then it would have been all too obvious that clinton was in for a foxilian hounding.
Why is it that President Clinton only puts his boxing gloves on when he's the one being attacked? Just sayin'...
Clinton put Faux in it's place!
